Current methods of diagnosis for both diseases rely heavily on a review of a patient’s medical history, neurological and physical examinations, cognitive and functional assessments and brain imaging. Early detection is absolutely crucial to the wellbeing of the sufferer. Even then, there is no hope to reverse either of these conditions.
