The oldest and largest museum in Tennessee is apologizing over a lavish dinner that would have celebrated the cuisines of Palestine and raised money for a Palestinian charity for children.
“This menu will be a celebration of the seasonal produce, fowl, and seafood of late fall/early winter, and several dishes will incorporate elements of the cuisines of Palestine,” the museum had announced last week on its social media platforms. “We’ll be donating a percentage of the profit from this event to @thepcrf which is an organization that provides aid to Palestinian children currently experiencing a major humanitarian crisis.”
