Georgia Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene on Tuesday outlined her demands for supporting additional funds to the U.S. government as Congress gears up for what is expected to be a protracted budget battle.
“I will not vote to fund the government until we achieve an impeachment inquiry,” she declared on the “Just the News, No Noise” television show. “But also I will not fund a weaponized government against President Trump, pro-life protesters, parents trying to hold their school boards accountable.”
Greene’s call for an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden comes amid mounting evidence of a pay-to-pay scheme involving the first family in which first son Hunter Biden allegedly traded off the family name to secure lucrative business deals in exchange for access to his father. House Speaker Kevin McCarthy has indicated he will not begin an impeachment inquiry without a House vote.
