Jonathan Rohrbach, 41, was driving his work vehicle in California Wednesday night, when he saw a car engulfed in flames on the side of the road.
Rohrbach pulled over and realized he was the first person on the scene. That’s when he also noticed there was someone inside, and took swift action, WLS-TV reported .“I pulled over, grabbed my phone and the fire extinguisher in our trucks and ran back to the car,” Rohrbach told the outlet. “My first thought was, use a fire extinguisher and try to put out the fire the best I could.” The extinguisher helped temper the fire — but then died.
