The US government’s effort to free the remaining American hostages in the Gaza Strip is speeding up ahead of Israel’s ground invasion of the area, t he Washington Post reported .
Judith and Natalie Raanan, both of Illinois, were freed Friday, but 10 Americans are still unaccounted for – though not all of them are assumed to be hostages, the outlet noted.
Those involved are worried that further talks involving the State Department, FBI and intelligence community, and mediators in Qatar may be threatened once the Israel Defense Forces invade Gaza.
