Introducing the Democrats’ *Other* Mad Maxine Problem

When the term “Mad Maxine” is used in political conversations, it’s usually meant to describe the original Mad Maxine: Rep. Maxine Waters, the entrenched California Democrat who has more than earned the nickname with her unhinged words and actions during the course of her decades on Capitol Hill.

Perhaps the most notorious of all was the time in the summer of 2018 when Waters infamously encouraged angry leftists to get in the faces of Trump administration officials no matter where they saw them. Disgustingly, she said this one year after the attempted assassinations of Republican lawmakers on an Alexandria, Virginia softball field by a deranged supporter of Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT).

Most recently, Waters has been one of the faces of the anti-DOGE Resistance™ movement, yelling and screaming at a lone man keeping fanatical Democrat members of Congress from storming the Dept. of Education and using expletives to demand DOGE leader Elon Musk’s presence.

As it turns out, Maxine Waters is not the only Mad Maxine in the House using expletives to try and get her point across. There’s another one, a freshman Congresswoman by the name of Maxine Dexter.

Dexter, a former member of the Oregon House, ran for office against three other Democrats in the primary. One of them was Rep. Pramila Jayapal’s sister, Susheela, who was endorsed by Sanders. Dexter ended up winning the primary in 2024 and went on to easily win the November election for Oregon’s Third Congressional District against her Republican opponent, Joanna Harbour. […]
