Bytom, Poland – In a powerful display of community solidarity, residents of Bytom, a city in southern Poland, took swift action to protect their children from four foreigners suspected of sexually assaulting minors at a local swimming pool. Polish police were forced to use tear gas to prevent a potentially dangerous situation as outraged parents and witnesses demanded justice.
The disturbing events unfolded on Saturday evening when several children reported inappropriate behavior by men aged 18 and 48 at the municipal swimming pool on Wrocław Street. Promptly responding to the alarming reports, lifeguards and pool security intervened, pulling the suspects out of the pool and alerting the local police.
Commander Anna Lenkevych from the Bytom City Police Headquarters confirmed the detainment of the four foreign nationals, believed to be Georgian citizens. The suspects were apprehended and are currently under investigation, with evidence being gathered and witnesses being interviewed.
