Figures from the GHM have been cited by the United Nations, NGOs, US President Joe Biden , Vice President Kamala Harris and European leaders. Many have used the numbers to indicate that Israel is not “doing enough” to keep the civilian casualty count low.
However, according to a recent admission by the Gaza Health Ministry, the numbers it has been providing may not be accurate. A recent brief by Foundation for the Defense of Democracies highlighted some of the issues.
