Chicago’s radical Democrat Mayor Brandon Johnson is refusing to shoulder any of the blame for his “sanctuary” city’s migrant crisis.
After lashing out at Republicans, Johnson is now arguing that his predecessor, Lori Lightfoot, is to blame for the issues.
The current mayor insists that he “inherited” the crisis from Lightfoot.
During a press conference touting the construction of the city’s first government-run (taxpayer-funded) migrant encampment, Johnson took a swipe at Lightfoot.
“Look, the international crisis that I inherited six months ago, I’ve made it very clear that we are going to make sure that we remove people out of police districts: women, children who are living on floors and sleeping outside, that we’re going to create spaces that provide more dignity,” Johnson said Tuesday.
