U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met with the foreign ministers of Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates and a senior Palestinian official in Amman, Jordan on Saturday.
During the meeting, Blinken rejected Arab demands for a ceasefire in the ongoing Hamas-Israel war in Gaza.
“It is our view now that a ceasefire would simply leave Hamas in place, able to regroup and repeat what it did on Oct. 7,” Blinken told a reporters at a news conference after the meeting.Blinken added that the United States supports “humanitarian pauses” in Israel’s campaign against Hamas, however, Arab leaders did not accept the proposition.Hamas terrorists invaded the south of Israel on Saturday, Oct. 7, perpetrating a massacre in which more than 1,400 people were […]
