A former California middle school teacher pleaded no contest on Tuesday after she was arrested and charged last year for sending explicit photos and then having sex with a 14-year-old student. Michelle Christine Solis, 46, “admitted guilt” during a preliminary hearing in court, according to the Butte County District Attorney’s Office, the New York Post reports .
Solis taught the student victim at Sycamore Junior High School in Gridley, California, a small town near Sacramento.
Court documents state that Solis had sex with the student inside a locked classroom on his 8th grade graduation day after she interacted with the student on Instagram a few weeks prior to graduation in 2021.
