Following decisive victories Tuesday night, former President Donald Trump said during a victory speech, “They call it Super Tuesday for a reason. This is a big one.”
He added, “There’s never been anything so conclusive. This was an amazing, an amazing night, an amazing day. It’s been an incredible period of time in our country’s history.” The former president continued, “I read an article yesterday where it said this is one of the finest run campaigns that anybody has ever seen,” noting that “November 5th, it’s right around the corner, November 5th is going to go down as the single most important day in the history of our country.”
Trump did not mention his former UN Ambassador and opponent Nikki Haley in the victory speech. Haley edged out Trump for a narrow victory in Vermont .
