Telegram CEO Pavel Durov has spoken out for the first time since his arrest in Paris on August 24. In the message, he called out French authorities over his “surprising” arrest and laid out the details of his cooperation with them in the past. Nevertheless, he revealed he was questioned by police for 4 days after his arrest. He signed off by thanking his supporters “for the love and memes.”
Durov was formally indicted on 6 charges over regulation of content on his app including “complicity in the offenses of making available without legitimate reason a program or data designed for… organized gang distribution of images of minors presenting child pornography, drug trafficking.”
