Joe Biden is not expected to make a public decision about whether he will run for office in 2024 until much later this year, according to his “allies and close advisors” cited in a report published today.
Though Biden has repeatedly said he intends to run again – albeit as a “great respecter of fate” – Axios reports that Biden will not make a firm announcement on his intentions for 2024 until “as late as July, or perhaps even the fall” of this year.
Biden’s advisors now say there is no downside to delaying an official announcement, despite earlier reporting that suggested Biden would formally launch a campaign in early 2023.
