Anti-Zionists are not necessarily Anti-Semites. This has been the argument by the vast majority of Anti-Zionists for decades as they campaign against the nation of Israel. But what we’ve seen for the last month betrays that narrative. Many if not most of the self-proclaimed Anti-Zionists have aligned perfectly with unabashed Anti-Semites.
In other words, they’ve jumped the shark and negated the narrative that they’ve been building for a long time. Rather than simply calling for a two-state solution or wanting to end “apartheid,” many Anti-Zionists have joined the calls for “Free Palestine” by chanting “from the river to the sea,” justifying their shift by claiming Israel is engaged in “ethnic cleansing.”
Those who are truly Anti-Zionists, who hold no ill-will to the Jewish people but who want a solution that allows Palestinians to possess some of the land and truly self-govern, should avoid the “Free Palestine” protests at all costs. They should distance themselves from the pure hatred for Jews that permeates the current movement. Calling for the extermination of Jews and the “cleansing” of the lands of “Palestine” is a far cry from the basic tenets of Anti-Zionism.
Arguments against the government and state of Israel are often sound. Those who do not believe the land of Israel was returned to the Jews by God for His name’s sake — as described in Ezekiel 36 — can explore history and come to the conclusion that the Jews are occupying the land of “Palestine.” Only through sound exegesis can we know this is incorrect. Jews were not called back to the land as a reward but as an inheritance, undeserved but promised nonetheless.
In other words, they are there and will continue to be there because they are God’s message to the world, again as described in Ezekiel 36. They aren’t there because they are superior. They are there because God wants the world to know that against all odds by human standards, He is still in complete control. As prophesied in Ezekiel 36:
22 Therefore say unto the house of Israel, thus saith the Lord God; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name’s sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.
23 And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the Lord, saith the Lord God, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.
24 For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.
But I’m not here to argue Bible prophecy or debate whether the Jews in Israel are really the people spoken of in the Bible. I want to highlight the messaging coming out of the pro-Hamas camp and warn those who are embracing it.

I’ve lost a few friends in the past month. They aren’t happy that I’m not joining in their condemnation of Israel for responding with force to eliminate a terrorist group that committed heinous crimes against their people. They’re upset that I blame the cowards of Hamas for using their own people, including children, as human shields. They have ghosted me because I’m not echoing their sentiment that Israel is engaged in “ethnic cleansing.”
Some of these former friends have been exposed as full-blown Anti-Semites. It’s been shocking to see them shift from a two-state solution to driving out all Jews from the land of Israel. But others who have ghosted me are trying to make the argument from an Anti-Zionist perspective. Those friends and people like them are the ones who need to separate their narratives from the Jew-haters, Nazis, and radical Islamists.
An editor at a very popular conservative website ghosted me recently. And while he argues that his Anti-Zionist message is not Anti-Semitic, one need only read the hundreds of hideous replies on his site to realize that he’s aligned with Jew-hatred whether that’s his intention or not.
As an America-First patriot, I only support Israel’s plight ideologically. I do not want a single American troop or taxpayer dollar sent to them. If they want to buy weapons, that’s fine. If they want help with intelligence in a region that we monitor constantly anyway, that would be fine. But I’m opposed to the involvement we have in the region already. If we’re pulled into the way against my hopes, then I’ll reassess support. God’s Will be done, and if He puts us in the war then so be it. Until then, I’ll oppose our involvement because we have plenty to worry about at home. In other words, it’s not our fight until it is our fight.
Conservatives who are true Anti-Zionists need to handle their own messaging and separate it from the “Free Palestine” movement. This should be obvious to them because the “Free Palestine” movement is made up of Anti-Semites, radical Islamists, Nazis, terrorist sympathizers, the vast majority of the radical left, the globalists, and the woke children on college campuses.
No hatred for a group of people is stronger than hatred for Jews. One has to question how many people who claim to be Anti-Zionists have been Anti-Semites all along.

I’ve yet to see or hear anyone draw such a distinction in a manner that is consistent, impartial, upright, honest, and devoid of hypocritical double standards. Typically those who claim to not be anti-jewish, but just oppose zionism, will expose themselves in very short order.
The inconsistencies of the nazis is a good example. One minute they’re hating Jews because Jews are capitalist. The next minute they’re hating Jews because they’re communist. And when you factor out all such inconsistencies, what remains is a hatred of Jews for no reason at all. Yet that is still not the root of the evil. The hatred is just the hype. The goals are power gained by creating a boogeyman scapegoat, and wealth gained by theft of all that belongs to that scapegoat. Even if the goal is an impossible utopia, their focus is still on how they might gain and benefit through dishonorable and wicked means.
The inconsistencies are easy to spot. Do they oppose a Jewish state, but not oppose Muslim states? If yes, then their attempt to draw a distinction has no merit.Do they not oppose Christian states? Atheist states? Pagan states? Or the notion of any state with laws based on certain beliefs and values?
There are many examples, But those who are given to the hype, get caught up in it, become fixated on that boogeyman, convince themselves they’re standing for what’s right, and work themselves up to a fever pitch may not even see how wrong and hypocritically inconsistent they are being. They’ve never stopped to think. And in the case of many, they don’t want to stop and think, or to engage in any significant amount of introspection requiring them to face the envy, greed, and wickedness of their own heart.
Look at a map of the world, and Israel is a tiny little spec. A very small amount of land, and significantly disproportional to the percentage of Jews in the world, by a factor of more than ten – with Jews making up about 0.3% of the world population, and Israel being less than 0.02% of the world’s landmass. So why all the fuss? It makes no sense.
Those questions are rhetorical, purposed to try to get them to stop and think. As Christians we know why. It is because the Bible is in fact absolutely true. We know that what is happening is satanic. We know it is foretold.
We know the problems with the world are the result of one thing and one thing only: sin
And we know that those who don’t understand that simple fact cannot be a Christian, because they do not know what it means to be a Christian in the first place.
Of course their arguments are often inconsistent before they’re even made – stated opposition to “apartheid” for example. Apartheid can only happen within a state. If Gaza is not Israeli territory, then there cannot be apartheid. It’s the border of a country. When Egypt enforces its border at the southern side of Gaza, controlling who can and cannot enter Egypt, is that also apartheid? There is no limit to the stupid and ignorant inconsistencies.
Even if they were to completely factor out what we Christians believe, they should still be able to see the injustice. But they are blind, and given over to a reprobate mind. Caught up in a baseless whirlwind of moral relativism, they have no genuine, concrete sense of right and wrong. They just make it up as they go.
the Word is very clear that ONLY CHRIST can and will bring the jews back to their promised land. obviously, that has NOT happened. forget the ‘palestinians’ and their alleged ‘rights,’ etc. the entire dilemma in israel is NOT about them at all. since 1948 there has been zero peace for the jews in israel. that darkness came right through God’s hands. do any current events evoke the Word’s promise (repeated by all prophets) that Jesus brings the Jews back to unending peace and security. show me a single ‘blessing’ jews have enjoyed in israel since coming back. homosexual ‘civil unions’ in israel are among the latest evil ‘fruits’ borne of NOT waiting for Ha Shem. How often are jews exhorted and warned in the OT to “wait” for the Lord? — hundreds. the jews have hardly ever DEPENDED on the God who delivered them from slavery in egypt since their second gathering at kadesh barnea, and entering the land. why do you think they have been so sorely chastened all these centuries — right up till now? Want a scriptural scare? — paul says ALL of the OT was written for OUR warning. gosh, am i suggesting that end-days christians (myself included) are, for the most part, a throng of disobedient, proud, deceived, and worldly laodiceans — following faithfully in the path of israel’s current ‘heart-failure’ per abiding trust in, and steadfast dependence on, our God? yup.
I’m not aware of any scripture that says only Jesus will return them to the promised land. I’m aware of scripture that foretold that they would return, but none specifically say that Jesus would do it. If they’re lost, and do not accept Him as Lord, Savior, and Master, then they will not inherit unending security and peace, but rather eternal damnation. The Judgement comes before Jesus rules for a thousand years. The unsaved will have already been judged and condemned. Only the saved will be included in that kingdom.
As the old saying goes, two wrongs don’t make a right. I don’t disagree on the depravity of the government of Israel, and many Israelis. It’s far more a secular state than it is a Jewish state. (Which, ironically, means Israel is not truly zionist, is not a Jewish state governed by God’s law, and therefore the anti-zionists are technically speaking against something that doesn’t exist) There is no question their law is not in line with the commandments of God, especially when it comes to abortion, homosexuality, transvestism, and so on. There’s no question about that. But we cannot support wrongs done to others simply because they are wicked sinners. Murder is murder. Rape is rape. Torture is torture. Terrorism is terrorism. Whether it happens to the sinner or the saint. The so-called “Palestinians” are no better. Both are wicked. But our first concern must be that we ourselves do not do wrong in either word or deed. We can stand for what’s right without endorsing or approving everything the Israeli government does.
That said, Tim, you’re 100% right to post and to make sure that lending support in this instance should not be construed to be approval or endorsement of everything the Israeli government and/or many Israelis may say or do. And that is neither anti-zionism nor antisemitism. It’s anti-abortion, anti-porneia, anti-secularism, anti-atheism, anti-paganism, etc.
ben, you NEED to get into the OT prophets; just READ them slowly and prayerfully — isaiah through malachi. it’s throughout — the Messiah brings them back, and raises some to their land, massively enlarged (compared to today), the borders God promised the patriarchs. some jews WILL NOT inherit, though they will be raised. a jew was ‘under the blood,’ and the covenant that GOD PROVIDED THEM — the passover lamb, as well as His commands, warnings and promises. will christians be judged by Christ according to our faithfulness/obedience to His Word and to the reality (or unreality) of heart-submission to Him as Master (“Lord”)? after Jesus returns, jews in the land will, of course, accept the ‘Lamb of God.’ nobody will convince you, ben accept the Holy Spirit. i could put down innumerable scriptures, but it wouldn’t do it. ask the Lors to teach you. if it’s your heart asking. He WILL aswer.
