Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador criticized the criminal charges brought against former U.S. President Donald Trump at a press conference.
Obrador told reporters, “Supposedly legal issues should not be used for electoral, political purposes. That’s why I don’t agree with what they are doing to ex-President Trump.”
People across the world watched as Trump was arraigned on Tuesday for 34 felony counts of falsifying business records. This is the first time in U.S. history a former president has been charged criminally.
