For years, bad things have been happening to California. Is there a reason why the state is being forced to endure crisis after crisis? This week, an unprecedented heat wave is making headlines all over the globe. Over a million California residents experienced high temperatures of at least 110 degrees on Tuesday, and Wednesday was the ninth day in a row when at least some part of the state has been under a heat alert. Of course this comes at the tail end of a summer that has been extremely bitter. The endless heat and endless drought have been absolutely devastating agricultural production, and it seems like the wildfires never stop.
California could really use a break right now, but instead it appears that the current heat wave may stick around for a while…
A record-breaking heat wave has baked the West for days — setting record high temperatures, fueling destructive wildfires and threatening rolling power shutoffs in California — and it could last even longer due to the effects of a strengthening hurricane along Mexico’s Pacific coast.
Of course there have always been heat waves all throughout history, but what we are witnessing right now is not even close to normal.
In recent days, some cities in California have broken old records by over 10 degrees, and the mercury actually reached an all-time record high of 116 degrees in Sacramento…
Sacramento hit 116 degrees Tuesday, the hottest day on record for the state capital, according to the National Weather Service. Records were also broken all over the Bay Area, with some cities shattering previous daily records by more than 10 degrees.
Have you ever experienced 116 degree heat?
That is hot!
In fact, we are being told that this is “the worst September heat wave on record”…
“This will be essentially the worst September heat wave on record, certainly in Northern California and arguably for the state overall,” Swain said. “By some metrics, it might be one of the worst heat waves on record, period, in any month, given its duration and its extreme magnitude, especially in Northern California and especially in the Sacramento region.”
When conditions become this oppressive, people don’t want to go outside at all.
Instead, most just want to stay inside and enjoy the air conditioning.
As a result, there has been an enormous strain on the power grid this week, and rolling blackouts were very narrowly averted on Tuesday…
Dr. Joseph Mercola said, “Synthetic meat is the epitome of ultraprocessed food, and it seems naïve to think it won’t have health effects similar to other ultraprocessed junk foods.” For All-American REAL beef raised in pastures, sous vide, then freeze-dried for long-term storage, visit Whole Cows and use promo code “no junk” at checkout.
Californians are being asked to conserve power for the eighth day in a row as the state’s grid operator expects more strain on the energy grid and possibly rotating outages on Wednesday.
Despite record demand on Tuesday, California was able to narrowly avoid rotating outages. The California Office of Emergency Services sent out an emergency alert to people’s phones shortly before 6 p.m.
There was a noticeable drop in energy demand shortly after that alert.
Of course this latest heat wave comes in the midst of the worst multi-year megadrought in the region in 1,200 years. Agricultural production in the state is being hit extremely hard, and it is now being reported “that yields could be down by as much as a third this year”…
It’s not the only region of the world struggling with water shortages. A drought that has been enveloping the southwestern United States since 2000 marks the driest 22-year period of the past 1,200 years, a UCLA-led study found. The American Farm Bureau Federation suggests that yields could be down by as much as a third this year compared with last year because of drought and extreme heat.
Maybe you don’t care about what is happening to California, but you should care.
California normally grows about a third of our vegetables and about two-thirds of our fruits and nuts.
So if you plan to eat next year, what is happening to the state should matter to you.
A couple of of weeks ago, I wrote about the looming tomato shortage that is being caused by the drought. The state of California accounts for approximately 25 percent of all tomato production in the entire world, and a lack of moisture is really hurting tomato farmers in the state this year.
As a result, there will be a lot less spaghetti sauce and pizza sauce to go around in 2023.
The endless drought has also created ideal conditions for wildfires to erupt and thrive.
Over the Labor Day Weekend, more than 4,000 firefighters were working to contain 14 different large wildfires in the state.
Of course dealing with wildfires has basically become a way of life in California these days.
There is one last thing that I wanted to mention in this article. As water levels drop all over the region, things are being revealed that have not been seen in generations.
In fact, in the central part of the state an entire ghost town from the Wild West has now emerged out of the water…
At Lake Isabella, nestled within the southern Sierra Nevada foothills in Central California, the telltale signs of drought are all too visible. The shoreline resembles a giant toilet bowl ring around the lake’s edge, while the detritus of long-forgotten secrets in various stages of decay poke up from the lake’s bottom.
Now at 8% capacity, the man-made lake is revealing the foundations of one of the Wild West’s most infamous towns — and it’s all visible from the shore, or accessible by boat.
Welcome to the re-emergence of Whiskey Flat: one of the wildest, most storied, tragedy-laden places to ever come out of the Old West and the Gold Rush era. A place with a history so familiar, it’s stitched into American folklore. Many of the tropes, tall tales and tragedies of the Old West can be traced to this long-flooded valley.
The state was full of sinister characters in those days, and the same is true in our time.
It is often said that as California goes, so goes the nation.
California always seems to be on the cutting edge of everything that is wrong with this country, and the future of the state is not bright.
But most Californians are just going to keep on living the way that they have been living, and very few of them ever stop to think about the consequences.
Unfortunately for all of them, the clock is ticking and a day of reckoning is fast approaching.

Green Energy Morons, a recent study
For this study, the team defined the heat island effect as the difference in ambient air temperature around the solar power plant compared to that of the surrounding wild desert landscape. Findings demonstrated that temperatures around a solar power plant were 5.4-7.2 °F (3-4 °C) warmer than nearby wildlands.

Even as they try to fix things they’re making it far worse.
Sorry, but a lot of what is being stated in this article, is true, with a lot of caveats.
As a & decade native of Norcal, heat is a part of living in a desert state, where if not for irrigation would easily relapse into its former state.
The only reason they can call it a drought, is due to mishandled resources/water.
Just a few years ago, we were threatened with a 500 year flood issue, the Oroville dam nearly burst thanks to a Marxist govt.
Point is, this is THE NORM in Ca! the fact that these temps came in September and not August by only a handful of days makes it different.
The only real issue is purposeful mismanagement of tax dollars that only make it to Socal welfare projects, that are skimmed off by the DNC for personal gain.
As I type, the forest 5 miles to my North is burning out of control. Why? Trump gave Nucellini the funds necessary to manage the forests, but to date, not one single project has been completed.
No, this is not abnormal, even the lefts approach to the issue is on par for the course.
I just wrote a piece on the fire near me and I’ll post it here.
Kind of off topic, but we had a huge fire erupt over night.
https://twitter.com/search?q=%23MOSQUITOFire&result_type=recent
This fire is about 5 miles to the north of us, though it would need to jump the infamous Rubicon canyon, it wouldn’t be the first time it did.
If this occurs, we could easily lose 100 sq miles in days right up to my property and beyond, dry, with a lack of resources thanks to the left.
I woke to smoke around 2:00 am, and it’s really smoky outside as I type, literally blotting out the sun.
This fire is going to drive tens of thousands of animals our way as they escape to the South, but will be forced to stay here due to lack of food from the burn in the Caldor fire.
In other words, they’ll be staying all Winter long because the Mosquito fire is burning to the N/E into the Tahoe National forest.
This leaves about a 20 by 15 mile wide buffer zone for them to refuge. This is not a big area considering the amount refugees from previous fires.
Yes, I will be feeding them as they pass through.
In the fires way is a major power transmission line running the Ralston ridge parallel to the Rubicon canyon river.
Ca is already cutting power, and the loss of this transmission line will insure tens of thousand s will go without power in the Sacto valley.
Pray for the effected…

“Of course there have always been heat waves all throughout history, but what we are witnessing right now is not even close to normal.”
This single sentence negates the entire article.
I’m glad I left that liberal chithole… I did visit San Francisco last year; just so I could take a big dump on Nancy Pelosi Blvd.
The magnetic north pole of Earth has shifted more in the past 20 years than in the previous 150. In the last 20 years, it has shifted northwest a distance equivalent to Brownsville, Texas to Boise, Idaho. So, the Saharan climate is now Europe’s and Baha-California is now in Sacramento. Don’t expect that to change soon.
What makes you think we had the technology to determine “pole shift” 150 years ago?
It’s simple really. We are in such bad straights because no one has taken Newsom out for his criminal behavior and tyranny. He has basically destroyed our energy infrastructure and has no new plans to build more LNG operated power plants.
Every GD person who is trying to push this Green New Deal idiocy should be put before a firing squad. Yes it is simple ! We just have to take hold of our resolve and do what must be done to set our state on the correct path that originally made our state the envy of the nation.
In other words, all DemonRats need to be shown what happened in Kampuchea when the Khamear Rough created the “Killing Fields” !!!
They are having to go through another nightmare because when they tried to recall Newsome they voted not to. Einstein said repeating the same mistake again and expecting a different outcome is insane
What’s scaring me is too many Californians are moving to Florida!
Magnetic pole shift, is not Axis shift. Nothing has changed, as of yet.
Like all Ca elections, the Marxist left stole it!
I (and certainly others) prayed for rain in my state at a time when conditions made wild fires seem imminent, and it worked. Don’t believe me? Go check this summers daily temperature and rain fall data for south central Alaska. We haven’t had to water outdoor plants in several weeks now.
It’s actually not unheard of for states governors to publicly call on citizens to prey for rain in times of drought, Georgia and Utah are two that come to mind, but don’t wait around for your governor. Everyone, just prey. Plus, It works for lots of stuff besides rain.
The people of Commiefornia continue to vote for this. Until they rise up, take a stand and say NO MORE, the State will continue it’s down hill spiral. May it fail miserably.
Bus them back and send Newsom the bill!

I live in Michigan. I grow my own vegetables and fruit. Not citrus obviously, but the only shortage I ever experience is fresh tomatoes in the winter time.
If the entire food chain ends up collapsing, I have enough emergency food supply to last 12 years. That’s long enough to watch everyone else starve to death, then plant another crop of veggies and go shoot another deer for meat.
Water is also not a problem because I live in a state that is not naturally a desert. I can dig 2 feet down and get all the artisian water I need, or I can use the hand pump on my well to get ice cold glacial water if there is no electricity.
I also have plenty of munitions to defend it all.
I hope everyone is prepared or preparing now, because this current situation may look like utopia around this time next year.
Eat, drink and be merry… no like many who love to get depressed over the gloom and doom while the writers of it all are getting rich. Relax folks, drink a beer and enjoy a good cigar with a friend for tomorrow we die.
It’s called ‘tracking the sun’ over time.
Water is a polar molecule that is oriented and moved my electrical and magnetic field. Water, and its specific heat, moves heat from the sun around our planet, and climate (i.e., rain patterns) are created by the interaction of the Earth’s and the Sun’s magnetic bands. Shift the Earth’s field, and you shift the climates created by that field. This is completely independent of the rotational axis.
