“We are against this agreement, because it is a bad one,” Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid said. “Because it cannot be accepted as it is written right now. In our eyes, it does not meet the standards set by President Biden himself: preventing Iran from becoming a nuclear state.”
Lapid’s protestations followed attempts at diplomacy by U.S. and European leaders, with them poised to reach an agreement after a “detailed review” in Tehran, the Washington Examiner reported .
The European Union , with a significant role in mediating between the United States and Iranian officials, has pressed the country for a final answer.
