NASCAR driver Bradon Brown — the one for whom the anti-Biden “Let’s Go Brandon!” chant originated — is speaking out about the phrase.
Brown, 28, wrote an op-ed in Newsweek despite getting advice to keep quiet for his sponsors after an NBC Sports reporter incorrectly said fans were chanting “Let’s Go Brandon” instead of “F– Joe Biden.”
“I am fully aware that the millions of Americans chanting my name know little about me or about my winning the Talladega race that day,” Brown wrote of his Oct. 2 victory. “But I have spent the last few weeks getting to know more about them, and I’d like to share a little more about myself.”
