The Washington Post published a short article by New York State Senator Brad Hoylman titled “Joe Biden loves his son. We should all be so lucky.” It’s a touching piece in that it exposes the reality that millions of Americans have experienced abuse of various types and degrees in the United States and across the world. The author longs for the type of unconditional love he perceives Joe Biden has for his son, Hunter.
There are many problems with this. The most glaring is that much of the sentiment expressed in the article point to pictures of the Biden father and son duo together. There was also a reference to a text message found among the leaks that showed Joe Biden saying kind and encouraging words to his son while he was in rehab. It’s as if the author, who had personal experience with abuse from his father, has painted his own picture of Joe-the-doting-father in his mind while ignoring indicators that his fathering skills were lacking.
Does Joe Biden love his son? It would seem so. But there are also indications of deep resentment from Hunter towards his father within the emails and text messages we’ve seen. One such text from Hunter to Naomi Biden reads, “I hope you all can do what I did, and pay for everything for this entire family for 30 years and it has been tough. It’s really hard but don’t worry, unlike Pop, I won’t make you give me half your salary.”
Then, there are the obvious challenges with seeing the man Hunter Biden became after being raised by Joe Biden. There’s no need to run through the litany of crimes, moral fallacies, and character flaws Hunter Biden has displayed, not to mention worse offenses that are alleged in the laptop leaks. Adults will be adults no matter how they were raised, especially when circumstances arise that change us. But if Hunter Biden’s life is any reflection on the way his father raised him, then it doesn’t take a psychologist to realize something was awry.
People are entitled to their opinions and it’s clear Hoylman has a very high one for Joe Biden, but nothing in the article points to his opponent in the presidential race. The only thing President Trump has been accused of regarding his children is nepotism, and even that “crime” falls in line with everything Hoylman was touting about Joe Biden. The President clearly loves his sons, but unlike Hunter Biden, the three Trump boys did not grow up to get involved with criminal activities that range from drug abuse and financial wrongdoing to possible sexual misconduct and crimes against the United States.
From the article:
Those of us who survived such households see in Biden a parent who gives to his son the love our fathers could not. And that is an extraordinary example to the nation.
What is the meaning of being a parent if not accepting your child no matter what? And what is the purpose of being a president if not modeling kindness, decency and unconditional love for families across the country?
I get it. The author, a Democrat, felt a strong desire to come to the defense of his party’s leader and try to get as many people as possible to see Joe Biden as a good father and a good man. And he brought it to the Washington Post for maximum exposure, who in turn gleefully complied. But they’re grasping at straws to try to mitigate the damage done by revelations about Hunter and Joe Biden’s dealings in China, Ukraine, and other nations. Democrats are wont to grab at heartstrings when facts are inconvenient. In the case of Joe and Hunter Biden, trying to paint this particular picture is not only ineffective but also comes across as disingenuous.
Joe Biden is not a model of kindness, decency, or unconditional love for families across the nation. He has displayed his abrasiveness towards voters who do not support him pretty much any time he’s challenged. He barks at reporters who ask important questions about his dealings with Ukraine, even when evidence points to the fact that he lied multiple times in claiming he knew nothing of Hunter’s businesses. The legislation he championed, especially the 1994 crime bill, was not a sign of unconditional love for families across the nation. It specifically targeted families of color and he has never been able to properly account for that.

Then, there’s his infamous statement that showed none of the qualities Hoylman mentioned. It wasn’t a statement from the distant past. It was back in May when he made the commandeering and demeaning statement, “If you have a problem figuring out whether you’re for me or Trump, then you ain’t black.”
Emotions can be the most powerful tool when trying to justify the unjustifiable. The left has become very good at using emotion as smokescreens to reality. But Americans are getting better at seeing through it, and this is one that won’t slip past them.
COVID-19 may take down an independent news outlet
Nobody said running a media site would be easy. We could use some help keeping this site afloat.
Colleagues have called me the worst fundraiser ever. My skills are squarely rooted on the journalistic side of running a news outlet. Paying the bills has never been my forte, but we’ve survived. We have ads on the site that help, but since the site’s inception this has been a labor of love that otherwise doesn’t bring in the level of revenue necessary to justify it.
When I left a nice, corporate career in 2017, I did so knowing I wouldn’t make nearly as much money. But what we do at NOQ Report to deliver the truth and fight the progressive mainstream media narrative that has plagued this nation is too important for me to sacrifice it for the sake of wealth. We know we’ll never make a ton of money this way, and we’re okay with that.
Things have become harder with the coronavirus lockdowns. Both ad money and donations that have kept us afloat for a while have dropped dramatically. We thought we could weather the storm, but the so-called “surge” or “2nd-wave” that mainstream media and Democrats are pushing has put our prospects in jeopardy. In short, we are now in desperate need of financial assistance.
The best way NOQ Report readers can help is to donate. Our Giving Fuel page makes it easy to donate one-time or monthly. Alternatively, you can donate through PayPal as well. We need approximately $11,500 to stay afloat for the rest of 2020, but more would be wonderful and any amount that brings us closer to our goal is greatly appreciated.
The second way to help is to become a partner. We’ve strongly considered seeking angel investors in the past but because we were paying the bills, it didn’t seem necessary. Now, we’re struggling to pay the bills. This shouldn’t be the case as our traffic the last year has been going up dramatically. June, 2018, we had 11,678 visitors. A year later in June, 2019, we were up to 116,194. In June, 2020, we had 614,192. We’re heading in the right direction and we believe we’re ready talk to patriotic investors who want to not only “get in on the action” but more importantly who want to help America hear the truth. Interested investors should contact me directly with the contact button above.
Election year or not, coronavirus lockdowns or not, anarchic riots or not, the need for truthful journalism endures. But in these times, we need as many conservative media voices as possible. Please help keep NOQ Report going.
American Conservative Movement
Join fellow patriots as we form a grassroots movement to advance the cause of conservatism. The coronavirus crisis has prompted many, even some conservatives, to promote authoritarianism. It’s understandable to some extent now, but it must not be allowed to embed itself in American life. We currently have 8000+ patriots with us in a very short time. If you are interested, please join us to receive updates.
