Last night’s Equality Town Hall by CNN was a series of debacles with moments that were sad and laughable at the same time. Oh, you didn’t watch it? Don’t worry. You’re not alone. You can see the highlights (if they can be called that) on social media or replayed incessantly today on CNN. Or, you can watch this video and get a feel for how the whole thing went.
Here’s the reminder that you can never be woke enough. Sorry, CNN. pic.twitter.com/JaoVWcQvjo

In case you don’t want to watch the video, here’s a breakdown…
A town hall attendee ready to give Beto O’Rourke a question was interrupted by a black transgendered woman. After taking the mic from the questioner and pushing past her child next to her, she proceeded to lambaste the whole debacle.
“Black trans-women are being killed in this country and CNN, you have erased black trans-women for the last time,” she began in full rant-mode.
At first, she seemed to be trolling. My initial thought was, “Uh oh, she’s going to tell everyone to eat the babies or something.” But no. She was serious. She continued her rant, which oddly focused on the lack of attention paid to black transgender men and women despite the event focusing on them and other subgroups within the LGBTQ comunity.
She turned hysterical and the crowd applauded her. It was as if they didn’t know what else to do as they witnessed an emotional breakdown happening before their eyes.
For his part, moderator Don Lemon actually handled it all very well, taking control of the situation without exacerbating it. He took the mic, did some defensive dancing, then gave the mic back for more ranting.
This is what Democrats want. This is the America they’re supporting by watching CNN and applauding hysterical rants. Poor Beto wasn’t even the star of his own show last night. When you cut a deal with radicals, this is what you get.
