You’re sick of it. I know I am. In modern history, the prevalence of fake news, progressive propaganda, and outright lies being told by the powerful people driving the left’s mainstream media narrative has never been this high. What makes it sadder is digital technology was supposed to prevent this from happening. Instead, it’s being used to propagate these lies wider, louder, and more often than it was just a couple of years ago.
Today, progressives own the digital airwaves and they’re using them to manipulate the people in a coordinated effort to not only take down a president and his party, but also anyone who supports conservatism, classical liberalism, or American exceptionalism.
Truth is debunked. Lies are presented as truth. In the rare occasion when a lie is called out loudly enough, a retraction and an apology may be issued and buried, reaching a tiny percentage of the people who were told the original lie. Progressive media has found its groove in the form of a blunt force attack on the truth.
The left loves invoking Hitler and Nazism to address the right, and I am always reluctant to return the favor. As someone noted on Twitter yesterday (wish I’d saved the Tweet), only the Nazis were Nazis. But the propaganda strategy being employed by progressive media and their handlers in the Democratic Party was born in Nazism, so the comparison cannot be ignored. It’s the Big Lie strategy:
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it.”
We’ve seen this play out as half of America was certain the Trump campaign colluded with Russia because that’s what mainstream media was telling us incessantly for two years.
We saw it with Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation, William Barr’s handling of the Mueller Report, and General Michael Flynn’s transition discussions with Russia.
We witnessed the tax cuts that so unambiguously helped the economy, yet mainstream media trashed them to the point that many Americans who are doing much better today than they were three years ago now believe the tax cuts somehow harmed them.
We’re seeing the birth of a post-truth society in which abortion is called healthcare, illegal aliens are lumped in with legal immigrants as a single status, and a rising sentiment that the best way to stop criminals and the mentally ill is to take away guns from law-abiding citizens.
We are told socialism has never been tried and millions of Americans are now willing to give it a shot in this country.
Now, we’re seeing it happen all over again with the Ukraine scandal. There’s a trope in Hollywood that goes something like this. “The good guys have to win every time. The bad guys only have to win once.”
For the first time in modern history, the left is starting to win the battle over the truth by indoctrinating the nation into a progressive worldview in which truth is relative, feelings supersede facts, and national pride is anathema.
The dystopian writings of Orwell and Huxley told of a world that ignored the truth. We’re seeing that world being built in front of us today. Are you willing to let that happen? I, for one, am not.
I am asking, begging patriotic American citizens to rise up for the sake of the truth. We have the capabilities in conservative media to propagate reality to the nation. We simply lack the resources. Help us help America by expanding the reach of NOQ Report (and as we link to other conservative media sources regularly, expanding their reach by proxy) through donations. It doesn’t matter whether it’s $5 or $5000 – every penny used to expand our reach helps America see the truth.
Money given to us by patriotic Americans is used to amplify the truth through social media, email, and search engines. If you want to help fight the propaganda and keep socialists out of office in 2020 and beyond, your contributions to NOQ Report will go a long way towards fighting the good fight. I can make a very valid argument that dollars spent spreading truth to the masses is more effective than campaign dollars spent on bumper stickers or sharing rally videos. This is 2019. People believe what others say about a candidate or issue more than they believe what the candidate’s campaign says.
This article really wasn’t intended to be a pitch for donations, but my frustration over seeing lies spread so easily as we struggle to get a fraction of progressive media’s reach is palpable. Our writers post articles that Americans need to read. Traffic has been growing dramatically with a tenfold increase from August 2018 to August 2019. But it’s not enough. We need the resources to put the truth in front of as many Americans as possible.
Our nation has reached a tipping point in which lies are replacing truth through mainstream media’s propaganda. It is incumbent on all patriotic Americans to stand up for the truth. Our future is in jeopardy as long as fake news rules the airwaves.
We are currently forming the American Conservative Movement. If you are interested in learning more, we will be sending out information in a few weeks.
