One hates Jews. The other is a Jew. But that’s where real differences end and the unified alliance to all things anti-American can blossom as anti-Semitic activist Linda Sarsour has joined Bernie Sanders on the campaign trail.

They need each other. Sarsour has had her rising star among radical progressives fade over the last year as her antics and associations have made her unwelcome in some leftist circles. Sanders gives her a degree of credibility that may not get her back into all the progressive clubs but may open other doors for her that were previously unavailable.
As for Sanders, his primary competitor right now is Elizabeth Warren as they fight for the far-left vote. Getting the Sarsour endorsement and bringing her around on the campaign trail will help the Senator appeal to women.
But it all may be too little, too late for both of them. Sanders has been steadily dropping as Warren rises. Meanwhile, Sarsour’s work with anti-Semitic, misogynistic leaders in the Muslim community have made her challenging to use as an example of peace for progressives.
Don’t expect this to make too many waves. It would have worked better two months ago to quash Warren’s rise, but now she has the momentum and this won’t be enough to make a significant impact on that.
