President Trump released a video from the Rose Garden saying the White House is ready as Hurricane Dorian bears down on Florida. But even as all efforts are being made to prepare for the worst, many Democrats in Congress are already taking to social media to condemn the President for… the wall?
Nevertheless, the President is leading in preparation for the storm, working with local officials and supplying federal emergency aid to get ahead of the potential damage that is to come.

The President’s use of FEMA funds for southern border wall construction has been panned by Democrats since it started, but thus far their dreams of disaster have not come true. Hurricane Dorian represents an opportunity for them to score political points, so they’re already out in full force making the most of their “good” fortunes despite the fact that American citizens’ lives will be put in jeopardy.
Here are some of the heinous politicizing Tweets:
.@realDonaldTrump’s brazen theft of disaster relief funding to pay for an inhumane family incarceration plan is cruel — and doing so on the eve of hurricane season is stunningly reckless. https://t.co/7di5JQZP5K

Another hurricane is bearing down on Puerto Rico and Trump is siphoning money away from FEMA to fund his hateful wall. Puerto Rico deserves better. https://t.co/iwhuYAuY45

By diverting millions from FEMA during peak hurricane season, @realDonaldTrump shows he cares more about being cruel to migrants/jailing them indefinitely than protecting Americans from natural disasters. https://t.co/vh2jxJjhlR

Our fellow Americans in Puerto Rico and Florida are bracing for a hurricane.
@realDonaldTrump, stop raiding disaster funds and work to ensure FEMA is ready to help these Americans. https://t.co/GPquHpVmwe

It’s noteworthy that none of the Democratic presidential candidates nor any Democrats with their seats in jeopardy have come out. This is so blatantly political that only the “safe” Democratic leaders are out there preemptively rallying the base of hatred against the President. But if Dorian is as bad as many weather experts are predicting, the rest of the Democratic Party is certain to jump on the condemnation bandwagon, including their candidates.
This is all part of the three stages of taking advantage of disasters that Democrats have become so adept at. Stage one is the preemptive attacks to plant the seeds, usually conducted by those who are electorally safe. The second stage is brief as they focus on the disaster as it occurs and pretend like they’re not itching to attack Republicans over it. The third stage starts immediately following the disaster where they go into full-tilt condemnation-mode.
Right now, we’re just in the beginning.
As Florida stared down a massive hurricane that could soon engulf the state, a political storm is already brewing over President Trump’s response.
Democrats railed against Trump even before the storm makes landfall over the state — accusing him of playing racial politics and blasting his decision to redirect funding from the nation’s primary disaster relief agency toward border enforcement operations. The comments set the stage for what could be a politically explosive environment over the next several days regarding the federal response to the storm.
Watch as this plays out exactly as it always does. But the saddest part is Democrats are quietly hoping for Dorian to be bad. The worse it is, the more they’ll be able to attack the President over it. Any missteps by FEMA will be blamed on him. Even if the border wall money would not have helped in dealing with the disaster, Democrats are still going to pounce.
It’s horrible that there are people in politics who are hoping for maximum damage from a hurricane all for the sake of political expediency. These Democrats are pure opportunists who do not care who gets hurt as long as they gain from it.
