Rebooted Beto ORourke 30 relaunches new campaign with old talking points but with arms flailing

An unnecessary amount of media attention is being paid to Beto O’Rourke as his campaign attempts its second (third?) reboot since announcing his candidacy for President. In his first campaign stop since spending time in El Paso following the mass shooting, he was cursing, ripping on President Trump, screaming about racism, and generally hating on America.

In other words, it’s the same campaign as before, but with more arms flailing.

To be fair, there are a handful of changes we can expect to see. It appears he’s going to focus more on social justice and less on “environmental justice,” whatever that means. Other than Jay Inslee, on of the bottom tier presidential candidates, nobody has been more outspoken about the environment on the campaign trail than O’Rourke. And like Inslee, it hasn’t helped O’Rourke get the attention he expected. Perhaps it’s noteworthy that the proponents of the Green New Deal in Congress and the Senate haven’t given O’Rourke the kudos he was expecting. After all, his proposed climate change fix would only cost $5 trillion, a tiny amount compared to the monstrosity being proposed by radical progressives like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.

Now that he’s all about racism, bad Trump, bigotry, racist Trump, white supremacy, gun confiscations, white supremacist Trump, and more racism, we can expect him to spread more hate in whatever time he has left on the campaign trail. It’s a shame he had an impressive initial fundraising run or he might be feeling the pinch in campaign finances soon.

Beto O’Rourke is a non-factor in the Democratic nomination race. All he has left is a calling to speak to people and campaign constantly. It’s what he wants to do. He wants to run for office for as long as possible.
