If they were informed, many of a certain generation would oppose the organised evil that is socialism.
A new video from Tim Pool makes the very important point that many millennia’s support socialism because they simply do not know enough about the subject. He based the discussion on an article from Human Events on the same topic.
Mr. Pool is somewhat of an enigma, in many ways he’s like a student in class that you see gradually learning an important lesson over time. While professing support for Liberty and Economic Freedom he will still on occasion offer support for somewhat far Left concepts that would be the death of Liberty. Never the less, it’s important to hear a variety of voices to avoid dwelling in an echo chamber.
Millennials and others have been sold a bill of goods on a concept that is 2,400 years old. This is because Leftists focus solely on the positive aspects of the ideology. The ‘to each according to his needs’ side of the private property redistribution equation instead of the liberticidal oppression where everyone suffers under the socialistic enslavement.
It’ll cost trillions in other people money, so what?
The lynch pin of all the vote-buying promises in the crucially important question ‘Who’s going to pay for it?’. As reported on The Daily Wire, a woman asked this of Democrat presidential candidate Sen. Kamala Harris (CA). She had no answer aside from Orwellian doublespeak:
“Can I ask you a question?” the woman asked Harris. “I understand that you are advocating health care for everyone.”
“Yes, ma’am,” Harris responded.
“Who’s going to pay for it?” the woman asked.
“Well, we’re going to pay for it,” Harris replied. “Because right now, let me tell you something, we’re all paying for health care for everyone–“
“No, we’re not,” the woman responded as she became irritated with Harris. “No, we’re not.”
“Leave our health care system alone,” the woman told Harris. “We don’t want you to mess with it.”

Then we have the example provided by Democrat presidential candidate Senator (VT) as reported on Twitchy, socialist presidential candidate Senator Bernie Sanders articulated how socialists feel about your hard-earned money during a campaign event on Saturday.
“Gonna cost a little bit of money, so what?” Bernie Sanders
It’s all about the free goodies – free college, free health care, free housing, free food, free money. Never mind who is going to foot the bill, it’s going to be other people’s money, so what? Our comrades on the national socialist Left can belch forth all manner of rationalizations for why it’s okay to steal someone else’s property. They don’t care if they have to take it by force, somehow don’t deserve their hard-earned private property. They tend to forget that they can never fulfill grandiose promises of immeasurable largess.
The article from Human Events made several salient points on the subject:
Support for socialism is unevenly distributed across majors. Support is greatest among the majors least likely to study how economic systems function. Seventy-eight percent of philosophy majors, 64 percent of anthropology majors, and 58 percent of English majors hold favorable views of socialism. Yet, in the disciplines most likely to study how economic systems function, economics and finance, 61 percent and 63 percent of students respectively, hold unfavorable views of socialism.
In my teaching experience, only a small percentage of students correctly identify socialism as an economic system that abolishes private property in the major factors of production and replaces it with collective ownership. This was also true of the millennial socialists I met at the conference last year.
A large portion of self-identified socialists didn’t identify their version of socialism with abolishing private property and replacing it with collective ownership and central planning. Instead, they adopted the socialist label while simply taking positions to the left of the Democratic Party on a wide variety of political issues.
[Emphasis added]
Later on in the article, the author relates the all too common refrain of Democratic socialists that ‘socialism has never been tried before’. This is an ad hoc rescue of simply making up a new criteria for the definition of socialism that conveniently excludes socialist nations of the past or present.
The Bottom-line.
The article and the video illustrate a very important point, that the government indoctrination centers [Government schools and Universities] are only giving people half the story. In much, the same way that the propaganda onslaught from the national socialist Media selectively emphasised ‘White supremacy’ over the fact that the Dayton mass murderers was on the far-Left fringe. Both suppositions can be true, but only one was repeated ad nauseam to push a certain false narrative.
One’s historic perspective begins with the day they are born, this is unfortunate because it is only after a socialist nation falls that it’s true death toll emerges. Those born after the fall of the USSR fail to comprehend it’s organised evil. Even those born after WWII don’t realized that Authoritarian Socialist Left took the cue from the USSR and banished the phrase ‘National socialism’ and emphasized the term Nazi or Fascist as a way of perpetuating the Leftist lie that the Nazis weren’t socialist.
Those born after these horrific events can have the misguided notion that socialism can be implemented without an iron fist of oppression or that it can even work. This is why Leftists try to complete the deception with the ‘That wasn’t really socialism lie’. Those who know the full truth of socialism reject it.
