As the left is wont to do, they use different arguments that often contradict each other in attempts to achieve their goals. The only consistency in their stances is that they’re driven by piecemeal logic; the argument they make for one preferred stance is the opposite argument they’ll make for another preferred stance.
Let’s look at two examples of pet policy proposals whose arguments run contrary to each other. They believe that voter ID is racist. It unfairly targets minorities who are less likely to have identification (though this is unproven, at least among American citizens) and therefore cannot be implemented.
They also believe universal background checks for firearm purchases are not racist even though minorities are demonstrably less likely to pass them. But unfairly preventing minorities from acquiring the firearms they need for protection is much more clearly racist than any obscure studies they use to justify opposing voter ID.
Democrats have no answers regarding this contradiction other than emotion and lies. They are emotional about firearms, particularly scary looking “assault weapons,” even though 100X more murders are committed every year using knives and sharp objects than rifles. They lie about voter ID knowing that they remove the ability for them o commit voter fraud. The funny part with voter ID is they see nothing racist about claiming minorities are less capable of getting ID than Caucasians.
It’s time to stop trying to make sense of the leftist proposals. They love to yell about the Constitution when voter ID is brought up, but the Constitution is suddenly antiquated when discussing gun owners’ rights. The left is a living contradiction.
