There’s a reason New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio is not respected by 96% of the police officers in his own city. With law and order such an important aspect of keeping the business heart of the nation and world running smoothly, the far-left progressive Democrat has made a habit out of insulting, blaming, and condemning law enforcement.
As a trend of attacks on officers getting doused with buckets of water continues, President Trump has chimed in and demanded the failing presidential candidate to act.
…What took place was completely unacceptable, and will not be tolerated. Bill de Blasio should act immediately!

It’s telling that the Mayor is barely registering on national polls and has failed to make an impact even in the handful of New York polls that have come out. He’s one of the most disliked mayors the city has seen in recent decades, winning through a distinct Democratic majority among voters while stifling any attempts by other Democrats to run against him. He’s ambitious, but his ambitions do not include doing anything of substance for the city he’s supposed to be leading.
But it’s his attacks on law enforcement over the years that stand out. He famously recounted having to teach his son, who is half-African-American, to act cautiously around police, insinuating that law enforcement acts with racist intentions even in a city as progressive as New York. His rhetoric may be popular among the radical progressives, but it’s damaging to the city and the nation.
It’s bittersweet for the law enforcement officers persecuted by their own mayor that he has no chance of winning the Democratic nomination. That means he’s still going to be mayor and they’ll have to deal with him even longer.
