Note to authors: If you’re going to promote your book by doing a nationwide whirlwind media tour, be sure not to sound crazy when accusing the President of rape. That’s the moral of the story as E. Jean Carroll’s book, What Do We Need Men For?: A Modest Proposal, has been thrown on he scrap heap of irrelevancy.
Despite a massive amount of media attention and interviews with the top talking heads of mainstream media, her big tell-all fizzled before anyone added it to their Amazon cart. With 17 reviews and a mere 1900 total books sold so far, Carroll’s blockbuster book has turned into one of the greatest disappointments in book sales history, ranking #3421 on Amazon’s list. Several coloring books have outsold it.
Meanwhile, Justice on Trial: The Kavanaugh Confirmation and the Future of the Supreme Court, written by Mollie Hemingway and Carrie Severino, is ranked #1. Mainstream media didn’t cover it at all as it discussed the partisan circus surrounding Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation hearing.
TV Ignores Conservative Authors of No. 1 Book In The Country, While Putting Liberal Author of No. 3,421 Book On Major Tour
Carroll’s book, “What Do We Need Men For?” is ranked #3421 on Amazon. It sold only 1,900 copies in its first week, according to BookScan data.
By comparison, “Justice on Trial” is the #1 book on Amazon, selling 4,500 pre-orders on Amazon before it was even released July 9, the book’s publisher, Regnery, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. The book by Mollie Hemingway and Carrie Severino documents the rush to judgment and flawed narrative surrounding Christine Blasey Ford, who accused Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh of an attempted sexual assault.
This is what conservatives have to face. There’s not much we can do about other than keep fighting against the clear mainstream media bias in favor of progressivism. Thankfully, America is seeing the truth and rewarding conservative writers.
