Four months ago, I asked President Trump to fire Labor Secretary Alexander Acosta following a blockbuster story about Jeffrey Epstein and Acosta’s prominent role in hiding the child sex predator’s non-prosecution from the victims. As Steve Hilton noted, Acosta is the swamp and had no business in this administration.
Now that Epstein has been arrested on new sex trafficking charges, I am once again calling on President Trump to get Acosta away from the White House and the Department of Labor. He’s not just a political liability. He’s a man who is responsible for allowing Epstein to allegedly continue existing freely as a sexual predator. We don’t know the alleged victims yet and he has not been proven guilty of the crimes. But helping him illegally secure a sweet sentence has been proven, and that alone is enough to remove Acosta from his position immediately.
It should have been done long ago.
For those unfamiliar with the story, Acosta was the senior prosecutor who negotiated a deal to allow Epstein to essentially remain free. He went to jail for 13 months… sort of. During his time in “jail,” he was allowed to go to his office six days a week to continue conducting business and whatever else he did with his free time. Considering the severity of the crimes, this was an appalling slap in the face to Epstein’s victims, which the Miami Herald places at 60 and even the original indictment placed at 30.
Epstein would find young girls, many living on the streets, and pay them for massages either in their underwear or completely nude. These “massages” turned into sexual encounters ranging from masturbation to at least one case of forcible rape.
The girls were as young as 14-years-old at the time.
He has also been accused of prostituting them to powerful men with a rumored client list that includes Bill Clinton, Alan Dersowitz, Prince Andrew, and Donald Trump himself. All of the men on the “client list” have denied the accusations.
From a political perspective, Alexander Acosta is a liability to the President. From a moral perspective, this man has demonstrated poor judgment even before he was in the administration. Jeffrey Epstein’s arrest should be a nail in Acosta’s career.
