Poor Eric Swalwell. He continues to try and fail to make his failing presidential campaign emerge into relevance. Even if he knows he doesn’t have a chance at the nomination (he knows), he would at least like to make it into the primaries and have a decent showing for his future runs.
But the internet and the Democratic Party continue to ignore him.
On the internet side, he posted a “bold” statement about the next debates. So far, that statement has received 56 retweets. Meanwhile, a comment in his post with an image of a Chick-fil-A sandwich has received over 2700 retweets.
Look, I’m not really a Twitter guy. I rarely use it and when I do, I’m just retweeting other people. But I know enough about Twitter to realize the Chick-fil-A sandwich wasn’t supposed to outperform the initial Tweet. That, folks, is funny.
In the real-world front, Swalwell isn’t doing much better, polling somewhere around none. At this point, it’s just a matter of time until he runs out of campaign money and calls it quits. Until then, have enjoy some scrumptious Chick-fil-A.
