Google, Facebook, and the other authoritarian big tech companies have been imposing their perspectives on social justice and politics ever since the 2016 election that devastated their worldview. They did so in the shadows in the past and continue to do so, but now that the veil is being pulled back a bit, they’re not backing down. If anything, they’re doubling down.
Representative Dan Crenshaw had representatives for the two companies in front of him in Congress today. He asked them difficult questions for them to answer. It wasn’t that they didn’t really know the answers. They just weren’t willing to give the actual answers to the questions. This is standard operating procedure for anyone caught in wrongdoing but who feel they must continue do do their wrongs in order to achieve their goals.
“It goes down the slippery slope of what speech is appropriate for your platform and the vague standards that you employ in order to decide what is appropriate, and this is especially concerning given the recent news and the recent leaked emails from Google,” Crenshaw said. “They show that labeling mainstream conservative media as Nazis is a premise upon which you operate.”
This marks the beginning of a new chapter in the way these companies operate. Up until this point, they’ve been going with the story that they’re fair and unbiased. Now, they’ve switched to say the algorithms are determining what’s fair and balanced, but they’re not going to do anything about it because they like the results. In other words, they’re saying censorship is occurring, and that’s just fine by them.
It’s a bold direction for them to take, but not completely unexpected. They’ve grown to such a size that too many are reliant on them for information, connections, and dialogue. Google isn’t worried about conservatives flocking to DuckDuckGo even if we should. They’re not thinking too many are going to uninstall Chrome and replace it with Brave. Twitter isn’t cowering at the prospects of Parler rising. And Facebook fears nobody.
Frankly, our best course of action is to blow the whole thing up. It’s time to pull platform protections and make them liable for their censorship Do it now before the 2020 election or we’re going to see the technocracy win.

They’re Trying to Shut Us Down
Over the last several months, I’ve lost count of how many times the powers-that-be have tried to shut us down. They’ve sent hackers at us, forcing us to take extreme measures on web security. They sent attorneys after us, but thankfully we’re not easily intimidated by baseless accusations or threats. They’ve even gone so far as to make physical threats. Those can actually be a bit worrisome but Remington has me covered.
For us to continue to deliver the truth that Americans need to read and hear, we ask you, our amazing audience, for financial assistance. We just launched a GiveSendGo page to help us pay the bills. It’s brand new so don’t be discouraged by the lack of donations there. It’s a funny reality that the fewer the donations that have been made, the less likely people are willing to donate to it. One would think this is counterintuitive, but sometimes people are skeptical because they think that perhaps there’s a reason others haven’t been donating. In our situation, we’re just getting started so please don’t be shy if you have the means to help.
Thank you and God bless!
