The narrative being pushed by Democrats has been dissolving recently. They once said the border crisis was “manufactured.” Now they’re saying they thought it was manufactured, but not in the way they intended it to mean when they first started invoking the phrase in unison.

But a new report shows the scope and scale of the migrant problem, specifically the criminal illegal immigrants trying to get into the country under the cover of the migrant caravans. One large caravan that hit California last December had 660 people among them who had been convicted of crimes in the United States. 40 were convicted of assault or aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and three convicted of murder.

Opinion

As long as most in the media continue to cover up the problems being created by our open borders, the worse it’s going to get. Border patrol can’t keep up with the “harmless” migrants. Meanwhile, the objectively dangerous people are slipping through the large cracks being left because the wall won’t get fully funded and border patrol is busy changing diapers.

On top of all this, Democrats and leftist media continue to push the narrative that somehow all of this is border patrol’s and the President’s fault. They know without a shadow of a doubt that it’s their initiatives and the blocking of Republican initiatives that make the problem worse, but they’re unwilling to lose political points by admitting they’ve been wrong all along. Instead, they spin and spin in hopes of confusing the masses. The throw up smokescreens of “important” faux-impeachment hearings. They’re doing everything they can other than addressing the problem at hand.

If ever there was a singular issue that should drive voters regardless of political ideology to eject the Democrats once and for all, this is it. They’re harming Americans and disregarding our sovereignty while putting the well-being of 660 convicted criminals ahead of the United States’ best interest.

Final Thoughts

The more information we learn, the darker the problem seems. If you think it’s bad, it’s probably worse than you think. But leftist media still continues to ignore it. We need the facts blasted out to the masses as soon as possible.

To many progressives, the cause of smuggling illegal aliens is more important than anything else. More important than our sovereignty. More important than the law. In some cases, illegal aliens are more important than these progressives own families.

That may have been the case this week as a woman was stopped at a checkpoint for an immigration inspection when border patrol agents discovered two illegal aliens in the back of her 2008 Mazda CX-9. Between her and the illegal immigrants she was smuggling were her two small children in the backseat.

The 24-year-old U.S. citizen is 8-months pregnant.

Opinion

There are no details about the situation this woman was in. Whatever it was, it’s much worse now. Her children are living with relatives. She’s in jail a month away from giving birth. One would hope she was somehow coerced to do this. If she put her children as well as her unborn child at risk for the sake of smuggling illegal immigrants without a very compelling reason, then her priorities are clearly out of whack.

But it goes to show there are many ways to smuggle illegal immigrants into this country. Just because someone is not obviously a member of a cartel or someone likely to be helping illegal aliens doesn’t mean they should get a pass. Border patrol apparently agrees and checked this woman’s vehicle thoroughly.

Final Thoughts

Smugglers come in all shapes, sizes, sexes, races, and apparently stages of pregnancy. Involving her children in smuggling illegal aliens is a strange way to raise a family.

Representative Jim Jordan (R-OH) was on Fox News this morning to discuss the two competing narratives. For Democrats, the questions continue to surround collusion and obstruction despite 22 months, 500 witnesses, and 2600 subpoenas from the Mueller probe that yielded nothing. Meanwhile, Republicans and the DoJ are looking into the origins of the investigation in the first place. Why was it conducted? What prompted it? Why was a presidential candidate spied upon by members of the opposing party under the guise of an FBI investigation?

Jordan noted that when he’s traveling or talking to his constituents in Ohio, the most prominent question he’s asked is, “When is someone going to jail?” It’s a great question. Sure, Peter Strzok and James Comey were fired. Others at the FBI are being looked into. The Obama DoJ has plenty of explaining to do. But nobody’s close to going to jail, as far as we know. Attorney General William Barr seems to be heading towards that conclusion, but so far we haven’t heard much.

There are bigger problems facing Americans that Democrats seem completely unwilling to address. The most obvious, of course, is the border crisis that could be solved in a matter of days if Congress would act accordingly. Instead, they’re hiding behind their political shields and putting up smokescreens of continued investigations, hearings, subpoenas, and contempt votes. It’s distracting the media, who in turn are distracting the American people.

But you can’t hide the obvious in plain site forever. At some point, they’re going to have to either address the issue or explain why they haven’t.

The important takeaway here is that Jim Jordan and his colleagues are seeking the truth. They’re pushing back against the political theater being put on by Democrats. Americans need to remember this in November, 2020.
