The President had a Tweet ready for London Mayor Sadiq Khan before he even landed in the United Kingdom. It wasn’t very flattering.
….Kahn reminds me very much of our very dumb and incompetent Mayor of NYC, de Blasio, who has also done a terrible job – only half his height. In any event, I look forward to being a great friend to the United Kingdom, and am looking very much forward to my visit. Landing now!

But that wasn’t the worst insult he had for the mayor of a city that has been devolving in recent years. His worst attack was to compare him to New York City mayor Bill de Blasio, the alleged candidate for the Democratic nomination for president, though the polls don’t seem to have him in the mix at this stage.
London’s most prominent mayor has been going after President Trump since he won in 2016. He even went so far as to say welcoming the President would be seen as his nation embracing the wrong side of history.
“In years to come, I suspect this state visit will be one we look back on with profound regret and acknowledge that we were on the wrong side of history,” Khan wrote in an article published by The Guardian.
The left is predictably disturbed by the President’s Tweet, but they should know the context first.
Agree or disagree with Trump’s tweets, but also understand their context too. https://t.co/YZw3qiICLX

This is the first state visit by the President. It comes at a time of turmoil as Prime Minister Theresa May steps down and the nation finds itself in the throes of Brexiting.
