Border patrol did as border patrol is wont to do: catch illegal aliens who had been previously convicted of sexually assaulting children before being deported. In less than a week I reported on four other instances. Now, it seems as if they’re coming in pairs, though both were arrested in separate instances.
Reyes Arroyo-Valencia, 31, and Fernando Gutierrez-Torres, 34, have three things in common. They were both convicted of sexually assaulting a child. They were both deported. Now, they’ve both been captured trying to get back into the United States through our porous southern border.
This is the fifth such story in five days involving sex crimes committed by illegal immigrants.
- Deported convicted child sex offender Simon Gonzalez-Munoz captured trying to reenter the United States
- Deported convicted rapist, kidnapper Domingo Larios Castro caught in El Paso
- Thrice-deported illegal alien Esequiel Medina-Vasquez arrested for trying to kidnap 14-year-old girl
- Carlos Cobo-Perez attempted self-deportation after arrest for impregnating 11-year-old
Yes, this is absolutely getting ridiculous. Please understand that I do not seek out these stories. They are just so commonplace in 2019 that I can’t help but come across them simply by reading reports by the Customs and Border Protection.
“Border Patrol agents encounter people with varying levels of criminal history on a daily basis,” said Del Rio Sector Acting Chief Patrol Agent Randy Davis. “I am proud of our agents for enforcing this country’s laws and preventing these dangerous criminals from entering our communities.”
We are well beyond being in a state of emergency. If I can post five stories about six sexually predatory illegal immigrants in five days, imagine how many are not getting caught? The migrant crisis has forced border patrol to put so many men and so much resources into simply processing the mass of humanity that is crossing the border every day that it’s ludicrous to believe they’re catching everyone who doesn’t want to be caught.
It isn’t just the sexual predators. It’s the drug smugglers, the gang members, and everyone else who aren’t coming across to live and honest life as Americans. The vast majority of migrants may simply be looking for a better life, but their willingness to break our laws, breach our borders, and steal our sovereignty is the reason so many criminals are able to cross unabated. For every one that border patrol captures, how many are slipping through? I shutter to even ask the question.
It is no exaggeration to state that sexual predators are entering the United States illegally every day. If we’re catching so many of them, the ones who are clever enough to not get caught should terrify everyone. But the “news” won’t report it.
