There are a two things that are universally panned from both sides of the political aisle in Washington DC. The Iraq War has gone from nearly total support to being one of the least popular wars ever as those who voted in favor of it have all admitted it was a mistake. NAFTA is the other that has so few supporters in DC today, it’s amazing it’s been able to last as long as it has.
Yet, Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi isn’t pushing for the USMCA, the replacement that is clearly superior to its predecessor. One would have a very difficult time arguing that it doesn’t treat the United States more fairly than NAFTA. Nobody is arguing that it won’t create jobs or encourage domestic investments. Why would she be opposed to something that is appreciated by economists on both sides of the aisle.
The answer is obvious and simple: She refuses to let President Trump have a win. ANY win.
The second part of the answer is clear to anyone who isn’t blinded by Trump Derangement Syndrome: She would rather harm Americans by giving Trump a political loss than help Americans by giving him a political win.
Conservatives are seeing through her:
.@VP Mike Pence’s trip to Canada represents more promises kept by @realDonaldTrump’s administration. The #USMCA trade agreement is a great deal for the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It's time for Congress to ratify it. Delays would cost American jobs and economic growth. https://t.co/gA1GHMfNed

Democrats refuse to hold a vote on President Trump's trade deal, the USMCA, to replace the NAFTA disaster
The USMCA would:
Create $30B in new investments in America
75,000+ new, good paying American jobs
Democrats don't care about people, they only care about power

The USMCA will make the best economy in American history even stronger and deliver even larger paychecks to American workers.
So why is Nancy Pelosi so opposed to it?

USMCA would rid Americans of the failures seen by decades of job-killing trade agreements like NAFTA. More jobs, more exports, and more investment in the American worker should be a bipartisan policy position. There is NO doubt—this is a WIN for Americans. #CallTheVote

The #USMCA has enough votes in the House of Representatives to pass.
Bring it to the floor, Nancy.

Texas is behind you @VP #USMCA is vital for Texas
? Texas trade with Canada and Mexico = $127B in exports
? Supports 948,000 Texas jobs
? Important for Ag, Energy, Manufacturing and so many other industries https://t.co/y4gWg6H2hd— Rep. Kevin Brady (@RepKevinBrady) May 30, 2019
Great op-ed by @LizRNC on #USMCA: "If the USMCA means more support for President Trump and his pro-growth agenda in the next election, the Democrats aren’t interested — regardless of how much the deal will help their voters."https://t.co/iEWDAMiCsB

The USMCA will:
Add $68.2 billion to the booming economy
Create 176,000 high-paying jobs
Drive $34 billion in new investments into American car manufacturing
Increase dairy exports to Canada $227 million per year
Bring USMCA to the floor!https://t.co/S2aTz5lHNc

There are many reasons to want the GOP to regain control of the House of Representatives, but this is arguably the second most pressing. The first is to secure the border. Now that the illegal immigration crisis has exploded under her watch, it’s time to give the GOP a second chance to set things right. And passing USMCA is a close second on the priority list if Pelosi refuses to let it pass.
The Speaker has one goal. It has nothing to do with helping America or Americans. Every thought and every action is to derail the President. If Americans get hurt along the way, Pelosi doesn’t care. It’s time to replace her.
