Missouri has, for some time now, been a bastion of reprieve for unborn babies. The state has roughly the same population as Maryland yet the abortion rate of Missouri is among the lowest in the country. Missouri could become the most Pro-Life state in the union by the end of this week with the looming closure of its last remaining abortion factory. This is a feat worthy of celebration as the link between abortion providers and abortion rates within state is undeniable, which is why we on the Pro-Life side should argue more often that outlawing abortion would reduce infanticide far beyond the safe, legal, and rare(common) tag line we here. Indeed, one of the greatest feats of the Pro-Life movement has been targeting the abortion industry, in order to reduce the rate at which babies are being killed.
Interesting look at the abortion rate per state and the number of abortion clinics per state. The correlation/ causation is as clear as number of McDonald's and Big Macs sold. pic.twitter.com/MISZqTLAS8

BREAKING: The last clinic in Missouri will be forced to stop providing abortions this Saturday, unless the courts step in.
Missouri will become the first state without an abortion provider since Roe v. Wade was decided in 1973.

Horrid Place
The abortion factory in question is notorious for emergency incidents. Lifesite News reports “for the third time in three weeks (22 days) an ambulance has responded to a medical emergency at that Planned Parenthood facility, which is the only abortion clinic in the state.” The article goes on to describe “over the past ten years, there have been 74 documented medical emergencies at this abortion clinic.” Having already met its quota for 2019 emergencies, the embattled abortion provider has a long track record for questionable safety practices. A 2017 inspection report revealed how inattentive and downright negligent the RHS Planned Parenthood of St. Louis, to the point where hand-washing is optional.
Winning the Debate
As the ACLU pointed out in the above tweet, Missouri is on the verge of becoming the first state in America since Roe v Wade to rid itself of abortion. As the Left will try to fear monger, just recall the other states with a single provider. Their abortion rates are lower, and there are no reports of women gutting themselves with hangers or else we’d hear about it as if it was a white person committing a hate crime with an AR-15. The abortion rate is subject to the convenience of which abortion is readily available. People who are too lazy to take preventative measures in sex are seemingly deterred from abortion or at most travel to another state to undergo one.
Missouri may shut down its last abortion provider sending a message that abortion will not be in its backyard. That inconvenience will save lives. The question remains as to how many, but the legacy of becoming the first state to be free of abortion is one Pro-Lifers should pursue in their own state.
