2 My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations;
3 Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience.
– James 1:2-3 (KJV)
One of the biggest misconceptions that Christians face today is that our lives are to be devoid of temptations. It is unrealistic, but more importantly it is not necessarily a bad thing. We are not to give into temptations of sin, but we are definitely supposed to face them. It is through tribulation that our souls are tested and our faith is put to task. Without temptations, passing the test of life would not be able to bear fruits.
