Church of Laodicea endorses Trump for President in 2020

With the 2020 campaign season about to heat up, the Fellowship of the Pharisees and so-called evangelicals are desperate to find an excuse to support Donald Trump after his unethical and immoral behavior exposed them as the charlatans they are.

Mulligans” aside, one of the most egregious displays of moral relativism by today’s evangelical is how they have tried to squeeze Trump’s immorality into a “Christian” mold and how frauds like Robert Jeffress judged “Never Trump evangelicals” — apparently, judging Trump is bad, but judging people who don’t support him is OK — calling them “spineless morons.”

This “cheap grace” approach to Trump’s immoral leadership hasn’t had the effect the Pharisees were hoping for, and as a result, his evangelical base is shrinking.

So, what do you do when the cheap grace gospel is no longer getting results? You recycle another gospel that’s equally false and just as dead … the prosperity gospel. The love of money may be the root of all evil, but in the world of the Pharisee, it comes in pretty handy when you’re trying to win an election for God’s chosen immoral candidate.

You’ve probably already noticed how members of the Fellowship of the Pharisees and their friends in the faux-conservative media have been touting what Trump calls “the greatest economy in history” as the primary reason to vote the New York liberal in 2020 despite his complete lack of moral character.

Who cares if our president is an immoral man who habitually lies and breaks his promises? We’re getting paid!

Simply put, Trump’s economic “success” began under Obama. Unemployment was already declining when Trump took office, and his GDP is essentially the same as his predecessor. But even that so-called success is fake news because Obama manipulated economic data in favor of his agenda, and Trump has been using the same model to manipulate data to hide his unhealthy economy.

Additionally, even if we take the data at face value, Trump’s spending addiction has exceeded Obama’s — despite inheriting a healthier economy than Obama — negating any positive economic news.

But let’s put the economy aside for a moment.

When evangelicals compromise their values for mammon under the mistaken belief that money covers a multitude of sins, they have officially turned Washington into the city of Laodicea and the Church of Jesus Christ into the Laodicean church. In the Book of Revelation 3:15-17, we see why this is the case (The Message):

“I know you inside and out, and find little to my liking. You’re not cold, you’re not hot—far better to be either cold or hot! You’re stale. You’re stagnant. You make me want to vomit. You brag, ‘I’m rich, I’ve got it made, I need nothing from anyone,’ oblivious that in fact you’re a pitiful, blind beggar, threadbare and homeless.”

Lukewarm evangelicals are dangerously and eternally wrong to think money and a healthy economy are all we need to consider when voting in 2020 because America needs more than wealth to be great again.

America needs revival and a return to moral character, beginning with evangelicals themselves and reaching to the leaders that they vote for.
