US points to Iran being behind weekend oil tanker bombings

Rumors of wars keep popping up in the Middle East and around the world as the United States continues to have our allies prodded and provoked. The latest example is Iran, which U.S. military officials have fingered for the wave of oil tanker bombings over the weekend.

The Associated Press reported that a U.S. official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, “said each ship has a 5- to 10-foot hole in it, near or just below the water line, and the team’s early belief is that the holes were caused by explosive charges.”

Was this the intelligence the United States received last month, likely from Ali Nasiri, that prompted the dramatic increase in our military presence in the Persian Gulf? If it is, then this could mark the beginning of actions taken by the United States and/or Israel against Iran.

Opinion

Not to sound too conspiratorial, but the timing of all this is strange. Now that the United States has a stronger military presence in the region, one would think it should have been enough to dissuade Iran from carrying out such attacks. This leads me to two possible conclusions:

  • Iran wants to get attacked. Their economy is in such shambles and getting worse, they feel if they can prompt an attack against them while still being able to claim plausible deniability by using their proxies instead of their military, they will get the sympathies and aid from gullible nations around the world and continue to paint the United States and Israel as the aggressors.
  • Someone staged the attacks to implicate Iran. Saudi Arabian proxies would be the most likely culprits.

The former is by far more likely than the latter, but nothing should be ruled out until we have all the facts.

Either way, Iran continues to play a very dangerous game, one they know they cannot win but that they hope they can survive until they get a handle on all of the moving parts in this situation. Even a massive attack from the United States could leave Iran with their current leadership structure intact; it would not behoove the United States to get involved in regime change now or any time in the reasonable future considering our track record in such things.

Quote

“We’ll see what happens with Iran. If they do anything it will be a very bad mistake, if they do anything. I’m hearing little stories about Iran. If they do anything, they will suffer greatly. We’ll see what happens with Iran.” – President Trump

Final Thoughts

I’m against getting involved in any wars that don’t involve us, but Iran continues to creep closer and closer to direct conflict. It’s as if they want us to attack while painting themselves as non-aggressors. These are dangerous times.

Were Obama and Biden at the center of the FISA Russiagate scandal?

Were Obama and Biden at the center of the FISA abuse scandal

Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton has been seeking the truth about Russiagate since the release of the Steele Dossier following Donald Trump’s presidential victory. There have been many personalities involved Jim Comey and James Clapper to Hillary Clinton’s campaign and the DNC. But two people who haven’t been asked much about it are President Obama and his Vice President, Joe Biden.

One would think something as important as Russian meddling with a United States presidential election would get the attention of the Commander-in-Chief and his right-hand man. Yet, neither have been engaged by mainstream media about the incident, and most importantly how much they knew about the shady dealings their Department of Justice had those pushing the Steele Dossier as reason to approve the FISA warrants into the Trump campaign.

Fitton joined Sean Hannity last night to discuss the matter. They posed questions that need to be asked directly to President Obama and Vice President Biden. Could they have been involved in pushing the Russian hoax to embarrass their successors?

Evidence that Ilhan Omar married her brother

Evidence that Ilhan Omar married her brother

The story from Ilhan Omar’s camp is that any insinuation that she married her brother to help him become an American citizen should be relegated to fake news and right-wing bloggers. But as we detailed last month, even the newspaper that endorsed her is starting to ask questions.

Mainstream media will start picking up on the story more, though it’s unlikely any of them will reveal the information they find unless it’s conclusive. When dealing with conservatives, mainstream media tends to run with any accusation regardless of credibility as long as a scandal is involved. When the subject is a progressive, media outlets only reveal the truth when they’re absolutely sure there’s no way around it and the cat is already being let out of the bag. Otherwise, they sit on it.

But as the President calls attention to it, the media will have to at least check on it. Most will still dismiss it as a right-wing conspiracy theory, but those willing to do their jobs properly will find the evidence is at least worthy of further investigation. Even in bits and pieces, it’s very damaging. A new video by Alpha News MN details an opening round of evidence that should be worth a watch. There is more to come next week.

It seems it isn’t a matter of “if” but “when” Ilhan Omar’s history catches up to her in the public eye. In that scenario, how will the “Squad” member react? She’s thought about it. Others likely have as well. Will she ever tell the truth?

Alexa and other smart devices are creepier than you think

Alexa and other smart devices are creepier than you think

It annoys me when people say their smart devices are only listening to them after they say the “wake word.” If that were true, then they wouldn’t be able to hear the wake word when it was said. No, Alexa, Google Home, and the other “smart speakers” always listening, always recording, and always storing what you say in their vast cloud servers. Moreover, there are teams of people who do nothing but listen to the recordings, and that’s just among the organizations we know for sure are listening. There are likely others, perhaps unbeknownst to Amazon and Google. On the other hand, they’re probably very well aware and complicit.

But the truly scary part is the invasion of privacy millions of people agree to grant to these companies isn’t the worst part of it. Things are getting worse in a hurry as artificial intelligence and big data machine learning are rapidly emerging as the way these technologies will evolve to the point of control we’ve only heard about in science fiction and dystopian warnings. 1984 is much closer than most realize.

The great risks being taken with our future are nicely documented in this Truthstream Media video. After watching this, it would be dumb to embrace the smart speaker revolution that’s happening all around us.
