Citizen journalists like those on this site are fighting back against Leftist domination of the media.
Venturing outside one’s ideological bubble is very important in maintaining a proper perspective on what is happening in the nation and the world. Thus, we begin the day looking over the ‘mainstream’ media sites to learn what events have transpired overnight. Quite often it will be the same regurgitation of the same stories on each site, as each is steeped in the same Leftist echo chamber.
We are highlighting this video because of the person being profiled and his points on what has happened to the Socialist-Left. Full disclosure, as stated in the video description, the Citizen Journalist in question freely admits to leaning Left who at one point supported Bernie Sanders, who say he has a soft spot for some Leftist policy agenda items. However, watching his videos one gets the distinct impression of a gradual ideological shift on his part, as he reports on the insanity of the Left. That is a discussion for another day, but interestingly enough, Mr. Pool has received a lot of FLAK over his reporting of the news from the Socialist-Left, so he must be doing something right.
Leftists can’t compete in the marketplace of ideas, so they simply shut down the marketplace.
This article from JD Rucker entitled: Purge, censor, and silence: Tech giants go full-Orwell to prepare for 2020 elections outlined the increasingly strident Left in attacking Liberty in the form of free-speech. Just as they have done with the right of self-defense, the Left has shown they have no use for Liberty.
Mr. Pool has similar concerns for the trend towards a one party media. Many of his videos have detailed this disturbing trend. Despite ostensibly being Left of centre, as detailed above, he is most definitely on the Conservation of Liberty side of the political spectrum. Mr. Pool, if you are reading this, please do not take offence at that observation, that was meant to be a compliment.
A recent video was a long form discussion with conservative Will Chamberlain: Human Events’ Chamberlain Talks Tech Bans With Tim Pool. To keep this from running too long [Why should this be any different..] we will discuss this issue in another column.
