Times Square in New York City is one of the most iconic locations in the world to hold an event. But there are gatekeepers who control the messages broadcast on the screens and played out to the world, and those gatekeepers weren’t thrilled about a pro-life message being put on display. They denied “Alive in New York” the use of their screens.
That didn’t stop the event from moving forward and showing the culmination of the event, a live 4D ultrasound of a preborn baby. They just had to bring their own digital screens for the display.
Thousands packed the streets and listened to speakers, musicians, and shared in prayers for the preborn. Many of the speakers were abortion survivors. Others were activists. It was an exceptionally well-developed event that delivered on its promise of bringing awareness to those who have no voice in this world.
Speakers for the event included: Abby Johnson, former Planned Parenthood clinic director whose story became the movie “Unplanned”; Alveda King, Civil Rights activist and niece of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.; Cardinal Timothy Dolan, the archbishop of New York; Phil Stacey, musician and American Idol finalist; Jim Daly, president of Focus on the Family; Jeanne Mancini, president of the March for Life; Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the Susan B. Anthony List; and Carter Conlon, senior pastor of the Times Square Church.
Science is on our side, which is why it’s important for events like these to reach the masses. The concept that the “lump of cells” in a woman’s body is not a human being gets easily debunked when people see how technology is able to put the baby on display. This is why many pro-abortion activists have been changing their tune. Instead of saying it’s not a person, they’re starting to acknowledge that it is a person but they simply don’t care.
As Alabama Representative John Rogers said earlier this week, the important thing to this new breed of pro-abortionists is that unwanted babies should be killed.
The abortion lobby is on the ropes. They know their narrative is breaking down thanks to social media spreading the truth. When people are able to see the “clump of cells” smile at them, their hardened hearts are often released from the bonds of the pro-abortion agenda.
“A woman has the right to choose what she does with her body, but the baby is not her body. Where’s the lawyer for the baby?” – Alveda King, niece of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr
It’s so pleasing to see this event happen despite the roadblocks laid before them by politicians and abortion activists alike. Congratulations and keep up the great work!
