Representative Dan Crenshaw (R-TX) has been right most of the time during his short time on Capitol Hill. We highlighted an important quote of his here, a short video he made about gun owner rights here, and an inconvenient fact about the Democrats he talked about here. Nobody gets it right 100% of the time – that’s Washington DC – but Crenshaw has been on the right side of nearly every issue so far.
He was right again with his recent attack on fellow Congressional freshman Ilhan Omar (D-MN):
First Member of Congress to ever describe terrorists who killed thousands of Americans on 9/11 as “some people who did something”.
— Dan Crenshaw (@DanCrenshawTX) April 9, 2019
It was the type of statement one might expect Republicans to pounce on, but it seems as if most are simply done pointing out the constant foibles the Congresswoman makes every week. Not Crenshaw. He pointed it out very clearly. As a war veteran, he has plenty of incentive to call out fellow Representatives who betray America with their rhetoric.
The 9/11 attacks were not simply “some people who did something” and to phrase it like that belittles the sacrifices made that day and ever since. Her tendencies to cast hatred towards America and Israel while showing terrorist organizations with her love is disgusting for any American citizen, let alone one who is charged with representing other Americans. Is this really the rhetoric and perspective that’s shared by people in her district? If not, they should be ashamed for voting her into office.
The 2020 election will focus on the White House, but it’s important that every American takes the elections of Representatives and Senators just as seriously. People like Ilhan Omar have no business representing any American.
