For years, it’s been standard operating procedure for U.S. authorities to drop off illegal immigrants at bus stations when the local charitable organizations are too full to accept more of them. But the recent dramatic increase in the number of migrants crossing the border has forced Greyhound Lines Inc. to change its policies. Now, only those with a ticket are allowed to enter their stations.
“Our priority is to safely and efficiently get customers to their destinations,” Greyhound spokeswoman Crystal Booker said in a statement. She cited an “unprecedented increase in individuals” without tickets entering their stations as a reason for the new policy.
There's a lot of finger-pointing in this article, but none of them seem to place any blame whatsoever on the illegal immigrants themselves. As usual, they're just the poor victims in all this. https://t.co/nXBxki2oHc

There are plenty of people to blame for this. First and foremost, the migrants themselves, driven by leftist propaganda and encouragement by open borders progressives, must take the bulk of the blame. They were told they would get taken care of if they could bypass the legal immigration and asylum request systems, and they believed it. Second, the President’s administration has been woefully inept at handling the border security crisis. Some will point to the lack of a wall and blame Democrats for the problem, but the government shutdown and subsequent battle over the President’s national emergency declaration didn’t happen until after the midterm elections.
Where was the outrage over the Democrats bullying the GOP when the GOP had control of the House, Senate, and White House for two years?
I understand that most conservative sites are scared to say anything bad about the President, but he promised us a wall and he has failed to deliver. If you say, “that’s on Congress,” then I’m assuming you’re giving Congress all the credit for the tax cuts the President signed. No, despite the selective memory of most, you can’t credit the President with everything Congress does that he signs then blame Congress for everything the President wasn’t able to push them to do.
The President has done many positive things, which I have written about here in the past, but let’s be intellectually honest with ourselves. On this issue, someone gave him bad advice to wait for the wall and he decided to take that advice instead of pressing the issue. We are a crowdfunded conservative news site that relies on the generosity of our readers, but if you’re hoping to support a GOP-loving, Trump-can-do-no-wrong news outlet, we’re not it. We call it how we see it with conservatism and America’s well-being in mind. Neither the President nor GOP has acted on behalf of Americans in stopping the crisis at the border. This is why despite having full control, illegal immigration has increased dramatically since Republicans took over.
The only ones not to blame for any of this is Greyhound. They’re doing what’s best for their customers. As a private company, their rights must be protected. Anyone who tries to force them to allow illegal immigrants into their stations without a ticket is being unAmerican.

American citizens first: Why Ron DeSantis signed Florida sanctuary city ban
The critics are already out in full force, many of whom are trying to legally attack the new sanctuary city law signed by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. But as the smoke clears from the signing of the law, the motives behind it are not being discussed by those who oppose it.
As the end of the day, it comes down to putting American citizens first, a notion that seems to be anathema to the left.
According to Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey, “It absolutely gives us the ability to partner with federal law enforcement agencies to make sure we’re doing everything we can to fight illegal immigration.”
In the response by the sheriff, we get to see the heart of the matter: partnership. Law enforcement has demonstrated time and time again when there’s cooperation, information sharing, trust, and coordination, the whole becomes greater than the sum of the parts. The bad guys want nothing more than for law enforcement agencies to stop working together. It makes it easier to evade capture and continue breaking the law when agencies in a sanctuary city defy orders from federal law enforcement, including ICE.
Critics argue that illegal immigrants are not the “bad guys,” but as I’ve covered on this site ad nauseum, there is no shortage of very bad people coming into our country illegally and continuing to do their deeds. Many of them have received protection from sanctuary cities. This must be put to an end.
The Governor invoked the standard talking points about the new law, but it really does come down to a compassionate appreciation of the plight of people who want to be in this country that is rightly superseded by the safety of American citizens.
Stopping sanctuary cities is not about punishing immigrants, as the Democrats like to claim. It’s about keeping American citizens, legal immigrants, and even most illegal immigrants safe from the criminal aliens living here.
Obama White House wiped immigration speeches from government website just before Trump took office
The internet is a miraculous account of recent history. On one hand, parts of it can be erased by those who have the tools and access. On the other hand, no matter how much someone tries to cover their tracks, there’s likely a way to find whatever information was being hidden.
Such is the case with the White House’s ICE website. The version that President Trump inherited was 190 speeches lighter than the one that was online just hours before his inauguration. Someone in the previous administration apparently didn’t want information about fighting illegal immigration to be visible on the incoming President’s resources.
So, they wiped it, and not with a cloth.
The Daily Caller reports that in the hours prior to the 45th President’s inauguration, the outgoing White House staff was busy getting rid of reports, transcripts, and speeches that had been accumulated on the ICE website. All of the content erased supported the notion that there was a border crisis brewing or that illegal immigration in general was a major problem that Washington DC needed to address.
Obama White House Deleted Online Speeches About The Immigration Crisis Hours Before Trump Entered Office: Report
A collection of 190 transcripts of speeches on ICE’s website was deleted on Jan. 18 and late in the evening on Jan. 19, 2017, according to research conducted by the Sunlight Foundation, a nonpartisan organization that advocates for government transparency. Statements made by high-ranking ICE officials regarding controversial immigration topics such as sanctuary cities, E-Verify, treatment of detainees, and other issues were included in the reported deletions.
It is unknown who perpetrated the act of information suppression or who ordered the purge. But it’s easy to speculate the former administration didn’t want to give the inbound administration any additional ammunition to use in their stated goal of curtailing illegal immigration, especially at the border. Furthermore, much of the information purged could have been used as justification for building a wall on the southern border.
Democrats don’t want you to know two things: (1) The border crisis is real, and (2) This administration is proposing solutions that can work to put an end to it. Now, it seems this mentality goes further back than expected.
Migrants should be quarantined as they await their asylum hearings
Here’s an idea that should garner bipartisan support. In fact, if everyone in DC were to stay consistent regarding the current migrant crisis, both Republicans and Democrats should buy into the only humanitarian plan that makes sense across the board. They should act on this immediately.
Media outlets have been reporting outbreaks of infectious diseases among migrants. We’ve all heard about the poor health situations that have taken lives; Democrats love to blame border patrol and the President every time a migrant dies in custody. They demand action. Here’s what we should do.
Let’s treat them all with the best possible medical care available in America. No child should die in custody. No migrant should suffer with diseases while they wait for their asylum hearing. Is there a politician who could disagree with either of those statements?
Of course, treating them properly means quarantine. The outbreaks are too numerous and many are being quarantined already. This happened in March at the beginning of the surge of migrants across the southern border:
Mumps can easily spread through droplets of saliva in the air, especially in close quarters. While most people recover within a few weeks, complications include brain swelling, sterility and hearing loss.
ICE health officials have been notified of 236 confirmed or probable cases of mumps among detainees in 51 facilities in the past 12 months, compared to no cases detected between January 2016 and February 2018. Last year, 423 detainees were determined to have influenza and 461 to have chicken pox. All three diseases are largely preventable by vaccine.
That’s just one story. There are dozens, including new outbreaks reported nearly every day. The conditions many of the migrants endure during their travels and the lack of vaccinations in their home countries mean the threat of spreading infectious diseases is great. All migrants must be quarantined, thoroughly examined, and properly treated. It’s the only humane thing to do.
To accomplish this, we need facilities in which the masses of migrants crossing the border illegally can be housed and treated. This will cost money, and while I’m not a fan of the government spending anything, but we could chalk it up against the $150 billion that will be spent on one year’s worth of illegal immigration. Suddenly, the hundreds of millions of dollars it would cost to rapidly establish such facilities along the border doesn’t seem like such a high price to pay.
We would also need to speed up the asylum hearing process. The backlog is tremendous and growing. Mark us down for another $40 million or so to rapidly process the backlog and get us to the point that asylum seekers are not forced to wait months or even years before their hearing.
Again, this only makes sense for their sake. Nobody likes being left in limbo, right?
This plan would save many asylum seekers from being given final orders of removal in absentia. They don’t want to get deported. As we reported yesterday, acting Secretary of Homeland Security Kevin McAleenan declared 90% of asylum seekers aren’t able to show up for their hearings. They won’t have to worry about it anymore under this plan. They can be escorted directly to their hearings from the comfortable quarantine centers.
Certainly Democrats can buy into this plan pretty easily. The migrants they want to protect will receive the best protection the United States can offer them. They’ll get free food, housing, education, and medical care while they’re in quarantine. Then, they’ll get an escort to their asylum hearing so they don’t inadvertently miss it. That should make perfect sense to anyone with a heart.
The only humane way to handle the migrant crisis is to quarantine them once apprehended, treat them well in their migrant centers, and escort them directly to their asylum hearings when the time comes. Everyone wins.
