Federalist Alexander Hamilton is known for many things. His contributions to the Federalist Papers were some of the strongest. Even his death is a thing of lore. Then, of course, there’s the Broadway hit of his namesake. But what many don’t know is that he was also a fortune teller.
Okay, so technically he wasn’t really a fortune teller, but he seems to have been very prescient in the way he analyzed potential problems within government. One of his “predictions” was Trump Derangement Syndrome and one of the unfortunate side-effects – hating the messenger instead of the message. There are plenty of things that could make anyone, from leftist to conservative, quite upset. But those who are fair realize there have been some great things that have also happened during his short time as President. One needs only look at the state of the economy to realize he’s doing something right compared to his predecessor.
Here’s the quote from Hamilton that characterizes TDS perfectly:
“Men often oppose a thing merely because they have had no agency in planning it, or because it may have been planned by those whom they dislike.”
If President Obama had called for a border wall, he would get bipartisan support. But he didn’t. President Trump did. That makes it anathema in the eyes of leftists.
Will you help revive the American Conservative Movement?

They’re Trying to Shut Us Down
Over the last several months, I’ve lost count of how many times the powers-that-be have tried to shut us down. They’ve sent hackers at us, forcing us to take extreme measures on web security. They sent attorneys after us, but thankfully we’re not easily intimidated by baseless accusations or threats. They’ve even gone so far as to make physical threats. Those can actually be a bit worrisome but Remington has me covered.
For us to continue to deliver the truth that Americans need to read and hear, we ask you, our amazing audience, for financial assistance. We just launched a GiveSendGo page to help us pay the bills. It’s brand new so don’t be discouraged by the lack of donations there. It’s a funny reality that the fewer the donations that have been made, the less likely people are willing to donate to it. One would think this is counterintuitive, but sometimes people are skeptical because they think that perhaps there’s a reason others haven’t been donating. In our situation, we’re just getting started so please don’t be shy if you have the means to help.
Thank you and God bless!
