Faux conservative Trumpists are the result of faux conservative media

Yesterday, I shared some of the interactions I’ve been having lately with faux conservative Trumpists who are targeting me and others like me for fighting for the Constitution and conservative values simply because we refuse to worship at the altar of Trump.

It’s a sad reality that these sycophants are convinced that Trumpservatism equals conservatism, but sadder still is how they are being deceived by the so-called conservative media into believing such an obvious lie. Evidence of what I mean can be seen in a portion of an email I shared yesterday from a listener:

” David Leach, you are a Left-leaning liberal Democrat. I suggest you get off your soap box and start listening to some real conservatives like Limbaugh, Savage, Hannity, or Levine [sic].”

As frustrating as it can be dealing with people incapable of independent and rational thought, I can see why Trump’s “sheeple” are clueless about conservatism and as a result, clueless about how Trumpservatism is nothing but a cheap counterfeit of the real thing.

One of the reasons for their ignorance is due to clickservatives in the media who have elected to enter the wide gate of compromise instead of the narrow gate of conviction. These charlatans use conservative values as a commodity to be bartered for a seat at Trump’s table.

While all of the names mentioned in the listener’s email above are documented sellouts to Trumpism, I specifically pointed out how Mark Levin is one of the obvious fatalities in conservative talk radio. Not only has he taken to attacking members of Congress who dare to defy Trump’s agenda, he’s been keeping himself busy spreading deep-state conspiracies while basking in the aura of Trump’s approval.

Another formerly conservative fatality in the media is Mark Levin’s new business partner, Glenn Beck. Like Levin, Beck used to oppose Donald Trump. And just like Levin, Beck has joined the ranks of Trump sycophants.

The latest example of what this looks like comes to us via a report by the Daily Beast. Beck, speaking on his TheBlaze TV show, joined pal Pat Gray for a discussion of the decline of masculinity and stated that Donald Trump is the last male role model left in America. (emphasis mine)

Speaking of Blaze TV, do you remember how Beck promised the merger between his media company and Levin’s CRTV would be a place ideological differences between hosts would be welcomed? That’s not what’s happening so far. In the days since the merger, BlazeTV has become just another Trump echo chamber. And get this: Beck is using his Trumpism as a marketing tool.

Yesterday, I received an email inviting me to subscribe to Blaze TV from former FOX News and current BlazeTV personality Eric Bolling. It reads in part:

David,

I have brand new interviews with Kellyanne Conway, Ben Carson, Diamond & Silk, and many more conservatives waiting for you to watch…

… And don’t forget all of the other members of the president’s inner circle who come on BlazeTV because our interviews are 100% free of liberal gotcha questions.

In the Age of Trump, this is what passes as conservative media: softball questions and access to Trump’s “inner circle.”

And we wonder why conservatism is dying in America.

Trump’s legacy: Accelerate the public debt, bully corporations with anti-trust laws, bully journalists with calls to change the libel laws (and thus eviscerate the first and most important amendment), ban bump-stocks (and eviscerate the second amendment), increase taxes on American consumers (tariffs) except to his cronies, add 60,000 pages of new regulations per year to the Federal Register, threaten the Federal Reserve Chief, threaten companies and CEOs (did he learn that from Justin Trudeau or vice versa?), negotiate with foreign tyrants (only the worst of them, though), constantly praises other foreign tyrants to the point which would embarrass even Obama. I’m building a list. Have I missed anything?

That’s a pretty complete list, but there will be more you can add to it before it’s all over.

Mike Lee describes the American Conservative Movement in a nutshell

Mike Lee describes the American Conservative Movement in a nutshell

Senator Mike Lee (R-UT) is considered by many to be one of the most consistent conservatives in DC. Some conservatives have been miffed when he supports the Presidents too much as well as his embrace of some left-leaning proposals. Meanwhile, some of the President’s most dedicated supporters have attacked Lee’s conservatism when he goes against the President.

Regardless of one’s perspective on the Senator, it’s hard to argue against this quote, which embodies a primary tenet of limited-government federalism and proper Constitutional conservatism.

“We ought to have more people who believe in constitutionally limited government. We have to have more people come to Congress with that mindset. I think we can make this a better place, if, when elections happen, we support candidates who share that philosophy.”

He may not have been speaking directly about the American Conservative Movement, but it’s definitely among our highest goals. Limited government is usually just campaign rhetoric for Republicans in DC. When the time comes to act in a way that actually limits government, very few are willing to put their power behind it. Lee is an exception. He usually acts in favor of removing powers, whether within the executive branch or even within his own legislative branch. He’s even spoken against judicial overreach, which is ironic since his name has been mentioned as a possible Supreme Court Justice.

Less government at all levels but particularly in Washington DC is imperative if America is going to reverse the trend of expanded powers across the board. The individual is the true seat of power. At least we’re supposed to be.

True conservatism must be discerning outside of tribal loyalty

True conservatism must be discerning outside of tribal loyalty

One of the loneliest things to be in the world of politics is a conservative who does not bow down to President Trump. What’s even worse is being someone whose allegiance to the Constitution, conservatism, faith, family, and the truth supersedes personal feelings, which is why I have no problem praising the President when he does well. This, of course, makes me a target for the NeverTrumpers and Democrats.

I call it how I see it. When he does well, I praise him and/or his policies. When he does poorly, I criticize. That means, as my friend from Hawaii notes, I’m an “equal opportunity offender.”

As an ardent supporter of border security, people often assume I’m a big Trump fan. While I appreciate the President’s recent attempts to force Congress to fund the wall, I’m equally disappointed that he waited so long. It’s an inconvenient fact his hardcore supporters love to omit that he signed 11 spending deals before “getting tough” once the Democrats took control of the House of Representatives. That same toughness applied at any point in the previous two years would have had a much higher chance of resulting in wall funding. Before the midterm elections in 2018, he held some sway over red state Democrats in the Senate, possibly enough to get the 60 votes he needed to get his funding.

Unfortunately, we’ll never know.

On the other hand, I don’t blame the President alone for his misstep. I’m certain his advisers and others in his ear, including Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, former Speaker of the House Paul Ryan, White House Senior Adviser Jared Kushner, and several others told the President it would be best to have the battle after the midterms because shutting down the government and playing hardball before the midterms meant they would lose the House and possibly even the Senate. Hindsight being 20/20, it would seem the two-year delay on having the wall funding battle was all for naught. He ended up getting to the exact place he would have been, but at least a year later before getting to start the judiciary clock on his national emergency.

One can argue Obamacare repeal and tax cuts were a bigger priority early on. Fine. Then the wall battle should have started with the first spending bill of 2018 following the tax cut victory and Obamacare repeal debacle.

The reason I’m bringing all of this up now is because it’s time for real conservatives to set aside any tribal allegiances they have and start focusing on steering things in the right direction. Just as we’ve seen the Justice Democrats plant hyper-leftist operatives in the Democratic Party, so too should we be working towards getting real conservatives in office instead of the fake conservatives, aka RINOs, that have control over the GOP.

It’s not just about primary challenges for the weak sticks up for election in 2020. It’s also about steering the President himself in the right direction. We’ve called in the past for the President to remove all leftists from his administration, but let’s face it. That’s not going to happen. What CAN happen is we can generate noise so loud he’s unable to not hear it. This noise can be similar to the backlash he received during the general election when someone in his campaign told him he should consider “softening” his stance on illegal immigrants. He even had a prime time special with Sean Hannity to try to sell “The Softening” to people back in August, 2016.

What happened? Conservatives said, “H— no!” As a result, he switched back to the tough stance that won him the GOP nomination in the first place. Conservatism won because conservative voices were loud enough to keep him from listening to his leftist advisers.

I would argue if there had been even louder voices yelling in unison for the President to fight for border wall funding in the beginning of 2018 rather than waiting until after the GOP lost control of the House of Representatives, we’d already have solid funding from Congress that was well on its way towards getting large portions of the wall and other border security measures built up. Instead, we’re relying on a lengthy process that will certainly shut down wall funding until hopefully the Supreme Court sides with him. In a world in which John Roberts is the Chief Justice and 5th “conservative” vote, I’d say we’re at about 50/50 on actually getting the action on the President’s national emergency declaration.

This is why we’re building the American Conservative Movement. It is not anti-Trump. It is not pro-Trump. It is not anti-GOP or pro-GOP. It’s definitely anti-leftist which makes it anti-Democrat based on the progressive lurch to the left we’re seeing in that party. But above all it’s a pro-Constitution, pro-American, pro-conservatism PAC that will promote conservative candidates, policies, and philosophies.

We’ve seen what happened to the Tea Party. It had no central leadership and very little solidarity in the way it wanted to operate. To call it an “it” is a stretch since the Tea Party manifested in some good, mostly bad organizations that competed with each other to raise funds from patriots who were concerned about President Obama and Obamacare, among other things. Sadly, it has become a shadow of an entity with no foundation left from which to launch any serious candidates.

We’ve also seen what happens with third parties. In fact, I made an effort to help build one. But the path of a third party is one that will take longer than the months or years that we have before real action is needed. Just as the Justice Democrats were able to make an impact in less than a year, so too will the American Conservative Movement seek to make a similar impact in the GOP for America.

If this sounds interesting at all, I encourage you to fill out the form below. We need to see how many people are interested in moving forward with something of this scale before undertaking it. Experience is the best teacher, and I’ve learned many lessons over the years about how to build and maintain a movement that can make a difference.

There has never been a greater need for a conservative renaissance in America. A quick look at Congress will tell you both parties are lurching to the left. It’s time to pull back to the right.

The problem is more spiritual than political

The problem is more spiritual than political

Personality politics have pre-empted a commitment to the Christian faith upon which America’s history has been based. It is now more important to defend a person or a group of persons than it is to stand firm upon the truth, which is objective and no respecter of persons.

Some have said we are not conservative because we dare to suggest that a primary challenge would be good for America. Defending the incumbent has become more urgent than looking at things as they really are.

Many in America and the world no longer see events through a Christian lens. They lack the perspective that everything plays a role in God’s eternal plan. That’s why a self-admitted hedonist and adulterer was elevated to the highest office in our land.

Such excuses are used as we need a Commander-in-Chief but not a Pastor-in-Chief. But, God’s Will be done whether it be willingly or unknowingly.

Trumpism is not synonymous with Conservatism. Many true conservatives were disenfranchised through the shenanigans of the Republican Party in Cleveland in 2016.

They did not allow the delegates to vote their conscience. They changed state tallies over the objections of the delegates. They ramrodded through a nominee that many did not choose.

That said, it is wrong to accuse those who propose a primary challenge as being “Never Trump”. I have said repeatedly that he is less problematic than the perverted Democrat alternative and that I will support and vote for him if he is our binary choice.

But it’s obvious that there is much more involved here than just politics. Ephesians 6:12 confirms that there are spiritual forces arrayed against us in this world. They are manipulating human emotions around the world.

Look again briefly at Christchurch. The facts of the matter and the overwhelming body of evidence remain that Islamic Jihad comprises the primary threat to world security. The attack in New Zealand was an anomaly. Whether or not it was a conscious attempt of the perpetrator, it was absolutely a purposeful event by evil spiritual forces.

So many Christians today are Christians in name only. That is a far deeper problem than Republicans in name only in our own country.

NZ PM Jacinda Ardern donned a hijab and celebrated the Islamic call to prayer just one week after Christchurch. She instantly unlearned the lessons of former PM John Key who admitted during his tenure that there were Islamic terrorist operatives based in New Zealand. Whatever her own religious upbringing, she immediately embraced Islam as the symbol of her people henceforth.

If Christians in our own country and the rest of the world do not base their view of society upon the teachings of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they will continue to be susceptible to every false doctrine that comes along. You have only to look at the words of Muhammad in the Quran to see the mischaracterization of Jesus and His followers.

We are not going to debate the theology. My point is simply that Christians are not standing for our faith the way that Muslims do for theirs.

In America, as long as we continue to embrace every strong personality without discernment, we are headed for disaster. Worldwide, both here and abroad, if we do not understand our own beliefs, we will jump on the bandwagon and condemn our own traditions in favor of political correctness every time.

At NOQ Report, we strive to objectively analyze the news and current events. We present analyses that you are not seeing in the mainstream media. You are free to agree or disagree. We are crowdfunded and your continued support is much appreciated.

Freedom of speech and opinion is what America is all about. NZ has no 1st Amendment as we do nor a history of free speech. The UK imprisons street preachers because it might offend Islam.

In the United States, we can discuss Presidents and ideologies freely and objectively. This is a right we must treasure and defend vigorously or it will go away!
