The San Diego sector for the United States border wall is one of the best protected high-traffic areas in the country, yet it still has major problems. There’s no real wall separating some of the highest-risk areas of Tijuana from San Diego, making it challenging for border patrol to keep up with the onslaught of illegal immigrants and transnational criminals.
OANN’s Graham Ledger went to the border to talk to sector chief Rodney Scott about the border challenges he’s facing in San Diego. They did the interview at a point where just a few months ago, no barriers prevented people from crossing the border at will.
In the interview, they highlighted the need for a border wall with the requested style of steel slats with a protective guard at the top being best for border patrol agents to do their jobs. They also noted the decrease in manpower that desperately needs to be reversed, but one of the most important changes that needs to be made is by the legislature which, based on current laws, encourages illegal immigrants to try to breach our borders and steel our sovereignty.
Americans need more people like Rodney Scott talking to journalists like Graham Ledger. The talking heads in DC may get most of the camera time, but it’s people like Scott who really need to be heard if we’re going to solve this problem.
