Former White House communications staffer Cliff Sims teased his new book to Vanity Fair. In excerpts, they revealed there was a “cartoon villain brought to life” working in the White House. It wasn’t Steve Bannon, Jared Kushner, or the President himself who have all been bashed in tell-all books. This time, White House adviser and former Trump campaign manager Kellyanne Conway is in the cross hairs.
Ex-W.H. aide Cliff Sims says that he once watched Kellyanne Conway iMessage no fewer than a half-dozen reporters over the course of 20 minutes to, among other things, bash Kushner, Priebus, Bannon, and Spicer. All by name. https://t.co/1YpxTJmgTs

Conway has been a go-to ally for the President to speak to adversarial news outlets. Her tenacity and unwavering talking points have frustrated many reporters while also making her a target for the media herself. Some credit her with taking much of the heat that would be directed at the President, giving mainstream media, leftist outlets, and even SNL another target to go after.
But Sims brings her loyalty into question, claiming her real interest has always been self-preservation. In his role in communications, he had access to outbound texts Conway sent through her phone.
Kellyanne was sitting at her desk texting away. And since her iMessage account was tied to both her phone and her laptop, which she must not have even considered, I could inadvertently see every conversation she was having. Over the course of 20 minutes or so, she was having simultaneous conversations with no fewer than a half-dozen reporters, most of them from outlets the White House frequently trashed for publishing “fake news.”
The book, “Team of Vipers: My 500 Extraordinary Days in the Trump White House,” will be released January 29.
Conway has always been a question mark in my mind. On one hand, she’s one of the biggest reasons President Trump won. On the other hand, her duplicity is clear as she successfully navigates her way through the corridors of politics.
