Anti-gun legislation loved by Democrats and GOP is on the way

The Democrat-controlled House of Representatives plans to introduce new gun control legislation tomorrow. The bill, dubbed H.R. 8 in recognition of the eighth anniversary of the shooting of former Rep. Gabby Giffords on Jan. 8, 2001, will require federal background checks on all gun sales, including private transactions.

Now, before everyone starts playing the GOP establishment game of pointing fingers at Democrats to stir up the base, this bill will be co-sponsored by Rep. Peter King (R-NY). King is notorious for his attacks on our Constitutional rights in the name of “safety.”

Pelosi made no secret about her intention to advance the anti-gun agenda near and dear to her progressive heart, but as I wrote shortly after the 2018 midterms, Trump and the GOP support her agenda. From background checks to seizing guns without due process in violation of the Fifth and Fourteenth Amendments, Republicans love gun control as much as the Democrats.

Denying Americans their Fifth and Fourteenth Amendment rights in order to deny them their Second Amendment rights has become standard operating procedure under a Constitution-shredding law growing in popularity across the nation, the Extreme Risk Protection Order. ERPOs, also referred to as “Red Flag” laws, have grown so popular that Sen. Lindsey Graham co-sponsored a federal version last year that would give federal courts jurisdiction over the states.

Failed GOP presidential candidate in 2016, Sen. Marco Rubio (FL), wants to use federal tax dollars as bribe money to force states to enact ERPO laws. Using the ERPO laws passed following the Parkland, Florida high school shooting — thanks to the efforts of freshman Sen. Rick Scott when he was still governor — as exhibit A, Rubio justified his progressive payola proposal:

“This idea has already proven successful in states like Florida, and it is my hope that this bill will get all the other states in the country to do the same.”

For the record, this is the second attempt by Rubio — who enjoyed an A+ NRA rating in 2016 — to pass this bribery scheme since the Florida shooting.

Even under GOP control of Washington over the past two years, our constitutionally protected God-given rights have been under assault. And despite claims to the contrary by the Trump cult and the NRA, our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms are no exception to this reality.

Do you remember the Fix NICS Act? This little reported rider to the March, 2018 omnibus gives the government authority to deny gun rights for something as minor as a traffic ticket, and it laid the foundation for building an FBI data base of the names of every gun owner in the country.

Do you remember banning bump stocks? Last year — also in March 2018 — Trump held a bipartisan meeting at the White House where he promised to ban bump stack by executive order, an order he signed last month.

In that same meeting, Trump gave his endorsement of expanded background checks for gun purchases. Additionally, he told the gathering of party leaders that government should “take the guns first, go through due process second” as a way to end gun violence.

Expanded background checks and seizing guns without due process? Sounds like Nancy and Marco should have little trouble getting their anti-Second Amendment bills made into law.

Sanders heading to Warren’s native state for Comanche event

Sanders heading to Warrens native state for Comanche event

LAWTON, Okla. (AP) — Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders is focusing on reliably Republican Oklahoma with an appearance before the largest annual gathering of the Comanche Nation in the state where rival Elizabeth Warren was born.

Sanders’ visit may remind some of a sensitive subject for Warren, still criticized after her October release of a DNA test meant to bolster her claim to Native American heritage. That was supposed to rebut President Donald Trump’s mocking of the Massachusetts senator as “Pocahontas,” but only intensified it.

Last month, Warren offered a public apology to Native Americans, trying to show that the issue won’t be a political drag in her White House campaign.

The Comanches, who are holding their 28th annual Nation Fair Powwow, are a Plains Indian tribe of about 17,000 enrolled members, with headquarters just north of Lawton, in southwest Oklahoma. Powwows are important social events for many tribes, and typically feature traditional dance, songs, food, regalia and other customs.

Sanders, a Vermont senator, won Oklahoma’s 2016 Democratic primary over Hillary Clinton. The state votes next year as part of the earlier and expanded “Super Tuesday,” which comes on March 3 and includes neighboring Texas.

University of Oklahoma political science professor Keith Gaddie said Sanders’ powwow visit was unusual because the tribe, which well-known, is not a particularly large Native American nation.

“There’s no reason, in order to win the state, that you’d have to go down to that event,” Gaddie said.

Warren has made her family’s down-home, financial struggles after her father had a heart attack and couldn’t work — forcing her mother to get a minimum wage job — a central theme of her campaign. Sanders and Warren are friends who agree on many policy issues, including the “Medicare for All” universal health insurance plan.

Both also have refused to attack one another, ducking questions about whether they eventually will have to compete for the Democratic Party’s most liberal wing. But a Des Moines Register-CNN-Mediacom poll released Saturday showed Warren outpacing Sanders in Iowa, which launches the 2020 Democratic nominating contest on Feb. 3, and running about even with former Vice President Joe Biden, who had been the crowded field’s front runner.

Sanders planned a rally at the University of Oklahoma before speaking at the powwow.

AOC calls out her own party’s ‘refusal’ to impeach Trump

AOC calls out her own partys refusal to impeach Trump

Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is rallying her base against the Democratic Party Establishment. Her Justice Democrats puppetmasters want an all-out war against the people they consider to be “moderates” despite that group seemingly encompassing anyone who isn’t a far-left radical progressive. Their targets are people who would be considered progressives on any scale that didn’t get tilted by the rising radical left.

Their opening strike against the Democratic Establishment comes in the form of having AOC go after the party for not impeaching President Trump. They won’t say what the President did that’s worthy of impeachment outside of general complaints about obstruction or abuse of power, but those are just details to be ignored by Ocasio-Cortez and the Justice Democrats. They aren’t interested in facts. They only care about the feelings associated with a Trump impeachment.

As our EIC noted, conservatives should hope AOC gets her way:

Fox & Friends tackled the issue today, noting how the brewing war between the left and the far left is threatening to make the Democratic Party cannibalize itself. Meanwhile, the President is safely planted in the Oval Office with no worries of real impeachment.

Candace Owens: ‘Leftists and Democrats don’t want to see these issues fixed in black America’

Candace Owens Leftists and Democrats dont want to see these issues fixed in black America

Speaking before Congress today, conservative activist Candace Owens detailed some of the real problems black citizens are facing in America today. She considers “white nationalism” to be a problem that wouldn’t make her top-100 list of actual issues harming African-Americans and their communities.

What she DOES consider to be huge problems include the deterioration of the family as our welfare system encourages women to remain single mothers, knowing their income from the government would be cut if they were to marry the father of their children. Gun violence is a real problem, but it’s a problem that comes back to gun control areas such as Chicago in which so many black Americans are killed by gun-wielding criminals while law abiding citizens are not allowed to protect themselves.

She looks to the education system that keeps African-American youths from receiving their proper education. And she turned to the policies of Democrats who seem to view African-Americans as a base of voters who must be exploited by indoctrinating them into the notion they’re being persecuted by white nationalists in the GOP.

Owens noted that “leftists and Democrats don’t want to see these issues fixed in black America because then they can’t stomp on those issues.”

It’s clear that Democrats spread lies intent on making minorities believe they’re the party that will help them when invariably their policies are the ones that actually oppress the masses. Marxism’s roots in racism are flourishing in leftist America.
