Greg Gutfeld may be the funniest guy on Fox News, but there are often tidbits of wisdom in his words. A good example of this is his attack on Debra Messing, a former Hollywood star who is now fighting to be the most unhinged leftist on Twitter.
She wasn’t the only one who caught his ire. Robert De Niro, Sean Penn, and Michael Moore were also called out in his six and a half minute rant. Here’s a taste:
“Hollywood’s greatest political theorists – Messing, De Niro, Penn – they all have the mentality of emotional 17-year-olds. And what defines troubled youth at that age? Irrational anger, petulant rage, demands for attention. And without a better script their emotional response is inversely proportional to their knowledge and wisdom, so the less that they know, the stronger they feel. And so belief becomes a battle to them and if you disagree you are evil. But you can’t improvise intelligence which is why it’s funny when they go off script.”
If anything, Gutfeld is being too nice. It isn’t just that leftists in Hollywood embarrass themselves. They are, unfortunately, followed by large masses of leftists who echo their unhinged sentiments. Their words of non-wisdom fill the airwaves and social media feeds while actual thinkers are pushed aside and ignored.
As much as I disagree with leftist intellectuals, I’d rather hear their semi-reasoned responses instead of the inadequate emotional responses from Hollywood’s attention-seekers.
